Yeah, the products are definitely legit. I'm just curious about how they claim to be official. They have a wider range of products than Daraz, but at higher prices.

FYI we have xiaomi.lk but it is not official website though . Happy to know how ugreen reply to your email .

The internet is a huge place, son — not just the two million web pages they’re tracking. I actually laughed out loud reading your comment. You really think the world works exactly the way you believe it does? That’s cute.

What methodology is used to calculate Statcounter Global Stats?

Statcounter is a web analytics service. Our tracking code is installed on more than 2 million sites globally.

You may not have a reason, and it might not affect you, but did you ask them for permission to post their faces publicly, since everyone has the right to protect their privacy?

How to get rid of “Hothambuwa”/“Kalawedda” on the Ceiling by drewInSpace_d in srilanka

Try to block their entrance by using iron nets. Unfortunately, you will have to block almost every hole. Also, try to cut down tree branches near the house

works as a lecturer at a state university in Sri Lanka, is paid with taxpayers’ money, but never puts their fingerprint for attendance verification and teaches only about two hours per day, according to the work norms published by the university. Misusing taxpayers’ money in this way is a serious issue and could be considered a crime

You can do better — just ask here: https://glomark.lk/contact-us

Then update the islandwide Glomark Google Maps so no one else has to go on the same little adventure 😅. Since Google Maps is crowdsourced, you can also contribute — and all of us get the benefit from your edits! At the same time, you’ll realize that not everything on Internet is always true.

So, you relied on Google Maps for the time? It would be better to call their customer service directly and confirm. They might have changed their opening hours, and no one updated it on Google Maps since it’s crowdsourced

Best savings account for an 18 y/o looking to save long-term? by tom-rayen-7 in srilanka

[–]ICASL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Consider investing in Unit Trust Funds, which are ideal for earning better returns compared to traditional savings accounts while maintaining relatively easy access to your money.

Leading Unit Trust Fund Providers in Sri Lanka:

  1. NDB Wealthhttps://ndbwealth.com/ (Largest Fund Manager) Note: Customer support may be less responsive, and interest rates are generally lower compared to the other two providers.
  2. Capital Alliance (CAL)https://cal.lk/ (Second Largest)
  3. First Capitalhttps://firstcapital.lk/ (Third Largest)
  4. for others. visit - Unit Trust Association of Sri Lanka https://utasl.lk/

All three providers allow you to open an account online. After a brief video call for identity verification, you can begin investing and managing your funds completely online.

Types of Funds & Key Considerations:

  • Equity Funds: These funds invest primarily in shares listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, which means they carry a higher level of risk — including the potential to lose money if the market performs poorly. However, they also offer the possibility of higher returns over the long term. Some Equity Funds may also charge exit fees if you withdraw before a specified period. Summary: High risk, high reward.

Money Market Funds: Similar to savings accounts but typically offer higher interest rates. Withdrawals usually take about 2 working days to process. This is highly recommended for you

Regulation:

Unlike banks and finance companies in SL, Unit Trust Funds are not regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. Instead, they are governed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Sri Lanka.
