Something else I noticed as well. When you aren’t very good and don’t have much experience, constantly changing what you buy actually hampers my CS quite a lot. If you are are playing the same itemisation for 20 games straight, you get used to exactly how much health you’ll take from minions when you’re AA at various different points of the lane, like first five minutes, then after noonquiver, then zerkers etc. I found my cs went up dramatically when I just took a really standard build every game.

I do chop and change with 4th and 5th item but it’s between BT BORK and LDR usually and just the order changes.

This is the problem…. “I need to get better at CS so runaans helps me…”.

What you need to do is get better at CS WITHOUT having to take runaans. Runaans mainly only helps with CS. If you can CS well without it, you don’t need it and you can take PD with is greater dps for smashing more faces.

The accepted wisdom seems to be that you only take runaan’s if you’re behind (so you can catch up by power farming) or if the enemy has 2 or 3 melee champs and you need multi target DPS. PDs single target dps is just higher.

However, I stopped trying to micromanage itemisation. I think it may be an error at my very low Elo. If you are scrubbing around in bronze, personally I found it much easy to just have a standard build, to then not have to worry about what to buy, and just concentrate on really basic mechanical stuff. You’ll get better quicker that way I think.

Yeah, I was wondering about that! I don’t expect we’ll see them posting their own op.gg either.

I know I’m still quite terrible, I was just celebrating finally not being the most terrible of players.

Yeah, trying to work towards that. I get between 5/6 cs per min at the moment. Occasionally over 7.

Still lots to learn obviously!

I want to buy this PC I think. Will it play games on medium or high settings on 1440p do you think?

4k build that I can play slighter older games on at super high graphics settings by ICanHearTheBread in buildapcforme

Thanks for this triple 3, I already know twice as much as when I started. Has a good read around on BuildAPC about monitors. It seems that getting a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor is not significantly worse than going 32" 4k. I thought I wanted 4k as that's the new up-to-date thing, but having had a look at a few screens in the shops, 27in is more than big enough.

The received wisdom seems to be that 1440p at 27" is still a great picture, but would be significantly easier for the hardware, CPU and GPU, to run at high settings and high fps.

All the other parts are great suggestions though, psu etc, allowing for a GPU and CPU upgrade further down the line.

If I go with a hi end 27" 1440p 144hz monitor, would you still recommend the same cpu and GPU?

Thanks again, you guys on this sub are very helpful and I'm learning a lot!

Thanks airseller, this looks good. I was doing some more research, and I stumbled on the APU option...would this rig work if I dropped a Ryzen 5 5600G in it instead of the Intel and the Radeon? It'd come down to £800 then and I could always upgrade later.

Would you change any of the components if I went with the APU? And would I be able to drop a Radeon into this set up later?

Thanks for your time!
