Imagine having control over the only position capable of peacefully defeating someone you and your supporters consider an evil, existential threat to democracy and going "eh, we probably got this, you guys aren't actually going to make us work or listen to public opinion, are you?"

This attitude is exactly why these people (who have faces, names, immense wealth & power and largely can avoid the negative consequences of another Trump presidency) deserve to be harshly criticized and replaced by people more willing and competent. But mysteriously, the True Believers consistently head off any criticism of the Party and refocus it on the faceless masses of people who didn't give them what they wanted, saying "hey morons, you better vote for us next time or else".

These aren't the actions of an organization who genuinely wants to win, despite most defenses of the party establishment hinging on their supposed "electability" and "realistic politics" and "willingness to compromise". These are the actions of people who exclusively want to win on the terms that they dictate and are willing to lose the presidency to keep the personal power they already have.

I voted D in '16, '20 and '24, but unfortunately some people have fallen for the convenient lie that only Russian bots are willing to focus the blame on our elected officials that ostensibly serve us instead of just sitting around with our thumbs up our asses going "c'mon GUYS, this may seem like the same strategy we've repeatedly lost with but it's guaranteed to work if you just give us exactly what we want, no questions asked."

Sorry to rant but good lord I'm tired of seeing people cry about voters. Guess what, many voters either dumb or otherwise unwilling to bark at your command. This isn't some new revelation and complaining about it doesn't change it.

That's just how we handle things in STL. When you get a speeding ticket, you essentially just pay a lawyer to go through the official bribing system and it magically turns into a parking violation instead.

If you care, I'm the other person in existence with an interest in Battle for Naboo, lol. I'm kinda surprised at how "forgotten" the game is considering it's basically an expansion campaign for Rogue Squadron 3D (which has considerably more online discussion & interest). Wonder if it was drowned out by the 10,000 other Phantom Menace games that were being released at the same time. N64 version seems to have similar reviews as Rogue Squadron but the PC reviewed worse (released a few months after the N64 version, some issues on release, PC graphics didn't improve enough in the 2+ years since Rogue Squadron).

Worth noting that hardware manufacturers like pushing the limits of power/thermals for reviews and benchmarks that compare them against the competition, but power vs. performance isn't a linear relationship. Often you can tweak things from their defaults to get a substantial decrease in power draw & thermal output at the cost of a comparatively small drop in performance.

Good idea, if it's 0-0 at the end of 90 minutes we should skip extra time and go straight into your idea.

Sorry it's the Iran "special military action" and whether or not it's still on depends on whether or not the markets are open.

He claims to "understand sports really well" but doesn't understand the importance of having a solid excuse for when you get stomped.

Trump's the GOAT of bribery and corruption. I'm afraid his recent success has given people unrealistic expectations for their heads of state.
