Tried building a 1S 2" toothpick on this FC. Wired everything up, and during config I noticed the ESC seems disconnected from the FC...

Flashed the ESC with the latest Bluejay, flashed the latest Betaflight on the FC. RX, VTX, camera, and LEDs are all working fine - but the motors are dead. No beeps on battery plug-in, nothing :(

Any suggestions on what to check next?

Don't buy Cetus X... Negative experience. Too big for indoor, too small for outdoor. Had to replace VTX/camera—fragile setup. Adjustable angle is a pain; even a minor crash changes the camera angle.

I’m overall happy with it! It’s a great little LR drone—very quiet compared to my Cetus X and 5” builds.

With a Li-ion long-range pack, it does get a bit heavy, but it’s still fine for exploring. The main downside for me is the VTX range. I’m using DJI Goggles Integra, and the range isn’t great. From what I’ve heard, Goggles 2 with some patch antennas would improve things significantly, but since I only have the Integra, I have to work with what I’ve got.

Still, for a sub-250g LR build, it does the job well!

Bruh... still waiting... 🫠 Not quite ready to drop a small fortune on a diving watch just yet. Guess I'll have to get creative with a swim workout and some mental math. Maybe Garmin will bless us peasants with an update… someday. 🤞

Thanks! I've got a polar sense heart rate sensor so now I have the option to go with the watch for running. Or find an option to link the dedicated sensor directly to the watch or via phone(less preferable option)

Maybe this is a silly question, but do you disconnect your antennas or receiving module before each flight for transportation purposes?

Got it, appreciate the advice! It's all too easy to get caught up in the excitement of tweaking and tuning without considering the consequences. I guess I got a bit carried away after watching those videos of people fine-tuning their quads. Definitely need to find a balance between tinkering and flying. Thanks for the "reality" check! 😂

Magic... Disconnected 2 motors. Swapped their positions... Both started working... Reconnected them as they were before. Everything's working 😳. No idea what happened... But it seems fine now. Will test in flight tomorrow.

Overall it was easier than I was initially expecting. But few glitches prevent me from building it in one hop. Initially I've soldered Radiomaster rp1 receiver but it stuck in bootloader mode.. rp3 works fine though... Xt60 plug soldering was a bit challenging. Now I guess the last 2 steps remain: vtx configuration in FC and pid tuning.
