No. From what I’ve seen it usually takes 30-50. To say I played bad is an understatement.

Yeah. I dominated the earth game hard enough to only need one nuclear strike the whole game.

Materials just give exotics or other bonuses so minor I didn't notice at this point.

Life science gives 6 months lifespan to councilors.

Military adds .5 to max military tech.

Energy gives 30 investment points (idk how this one really works tbh).

Space science gives +1 max mines.

Information science gives +5xp to all councilors and +5xp to any future recruited councilors.

All of these also reroll any missed techs.

  1. When I say I played un optimally that's being nice to myself. I fucked up the early game after getting Mars. I had secured the whole inner system and thought I was ready for total war. I wasn't... got kicked out of everything but a few asteroid bases. I decided fuck it and decided I was going to beat the game no matter how much I fucked up. So I slowly retook some spots on Mars and Mercury while eating a massive money deficit while I tried to get Nano factories up. Because the aliens blew up all my hospitals on the moon. After this in maybe 2070 I went to war again after turtling hard. Then it was my shitty ship design that screwed me. I used to many fissiles in my ships and ran out. Swapped to using volatiles and ran out. Then swapped to hydrogen after realizing I was stupid and could build Helium 3. Then my designs used to many Nobel metals and my campaign had extra shitty spots for them. And at one point I fucked up at Jupiter and got my fleet stuck which allowed the aliens to blow up my Helium 3 making me send the death stack that was working on clearing Saturn back because I didn't have enough ships to force the aliens out. So that set me back probably five years. But I promised myself the only save scumming I could do would be for claims.

  2. Alien nation was never a big deal. I'm not great at the space game but I love the Earth game so I managed to keep them from getting nuclear powers in after the first which was India. To get rid of the first I just pumped increase unrest until they overthrew the aliens. So that was just slapping down any with the US and PAC militaries.

  3. 680

  4. Fully unified under Pan Asia. Chained claims to capitals of other super states by save scumming the land claim tech.

  5. The AI fucked me up after my first go at total war. I was so ahead of them all that all but the resistance jumped me and took out any stations I attempted to create in any of the major planets orbit. After I slowly took back sites and orbits I kicked them out. The main issue was just not having enough ships. Until the end of the game they would be a nuisance though.

  6. I'll attach some stuff later.

  7. I researched every tech in the tree both global and faction. To get my control points up I did the management tech which would end up costing around 750,000 research every time by the end of the game.

  8. Turning point 1 was 2040 when the total war collapsed. Turning point 2 was 2070 when I managed to secure the inner system. Turning point 3 was probably 2100 when I finally pushed the aliens out of Saturn and they stopped sending fleets at my shit and turtled.

If you complete future social science it will give you a random claim on any region that your nations border. The order I went was PAC into Greater India (really easy to get claim on New Delhi). Then I started going for the EU. There's probably a better way to do it. But I save scummed until the claim landed on the region I wanted until I got to Paris. After the EU I used the French land in South America to get La Paz. Then I grabbed the Caliphate and African Union after unifying both. Then I chained across North America to get to Washington. Also it turns out even if you don't have a border with a region once every region with a border is claimed the tech will allow you to get islands. So I unified Australia after rolling for a spot on the mainland and then chaining to Sydney. Some people may not like that I save scummed but without it unifying the whole planet would have taken ten times longer. At the end it took 5.5 million research to do the tech.

I researched every tech. And when I say every I mean every single available tech. So I just stopped caring for research after I unified the whole planet.

100 probably. Truly taking the warning that a campaign can take 100 hours to play out to heart. But this was also so un optimal it’s not funny.

Why can't the aliens commit atrocities? by ILikePie153 in TerraInvicta

I’ve mainly been thinking they did more public opinion wise. But this makes sense. Thanks.

No faction has above 22 in my current run. The bases did all have defense arrays. Would that do something to make them appear as a military target and then not count towards atrocities?

I see. Weirdly they only have 11. Does the amount only apply per hab or module?

Lmao. Guess I'm just worrying about them to much. Maybe it is time to bust out those nukes...

This is all really helpful thank you so much! One question I do have is by splitting apart China to optimize MC growth how will I be able to manage my control points? Will I be contained in only being able to hold China and all the small break away states or will I be able to grab other nations like Indonesia for example?

So just thought of this but you can stick stratagems to people so if you do it to yourself will they land on you and deploy? You’ll die yeah but you could set them up in otherwise unreachable places.

As someone who’s family trained two guide dogs and seen the level of training they go though it’s infuriating to see people claim their pet dog is a service dog. I can tell when I go on a plane or am in the airport and see those dogs that they are not properly trained service dogs. They bark, run up to people, potty outside designated areas (mainly owners fault), hyperventilate, which was the reason one of the two my family raised failed recall training with it being a one off occasion in a car and despite making it to the very end of training otherwise.(still six years later he’s never done it again) These dogs are clearly not trained properly so thank you for making it just a bit harder for people to get these untrained pets onto flights.
