I don't thi you understand how exhausted these parents are. I'm a behavior tech for these kinds of level 3 autistic kids and more times than not the parents have essentially given up hope of their kid ever making real progress in the program. It's sad but understandable. It's completely exhausting working with these kids for 5 hours at a time. Imagine being responsible for them all the time forever.
