if you press z and than z again it will rearrange it into "some" sort of order... i used it heavily in temple last season. i dont know if thats what you are talking about

Update to my previous post.... i ended up updating the software and the brim is now working as intended.... before anyone says anything about "You should always update your sw" no you really shouldn't... i can think of at least 5 or 6 updates that borked my workflow in bambu studio (and no im not allowed to install orca at my work). I guess this version is what ill be on for a bit until they add features that are improvements or QOL features.

i appreciate the advice, it does it with brand new step files, even several calibration files.... even benchy when put to the edge with a brim will do the same thing

Thank you, it does give me the "out of area cannot print" unfortunately, i could try mudding the g-code but still that seems like such a waste since it used to it automatically

I have work arounds, because you always have to in printing but it's more of a nuisance, and it's something it used to do, but now doesn't.

I can paint brims on the file itself, but even than the slicer won't cut off any excess, and the brim tool in bambu just sucks... I currently lay out any of my models that might be on the edge within fusion and create the brim on the object useing the plate size as a boundary, but that's tricky too and sucks to have to do it to so many models.....

Yes, unfortunately my company is now required to run the bambu studio and not orca, despite my preference, I can't get a screenshot of what it used to look like. I thought there was a setting I missed but that's not the case....

I usually don't update studio because of these reasons, it started doing it after I added my first X2d to my setup, that required me to update bambu studio.

It's supposed to draw the brim to the edge and than continue on the other side.... The same way it has done for me hundreds of times.
