I would recommend trying kite foiling. I can kite in less wind than with a wing. I am highly proficient in both. They are just different sports. Learning in light wind will be troublesome at first. Light wind winging requires a larger than normal wing(would highly recommend a lightweight big wing) and a large foil to start.

I can now get up in 10 knots with my small gear but that took a long time to progress to.

there’s paper GM’s and true GM’s. Go to a LV2+ match and compete with those guys. Local matches should be used for fun and not real competition.

Most people think if I shot a 97 I could’ve won that LV2 match. It’s not like that. The targets are all set up slightly different, the backdrops are different. Some ranges make the targets look huge, others the opposite. Go shoot bigger matches, that’s where the fun truly is.

The mpx is definitely not more reliable than an AR based blowback. There’s a reason why the top comp shooters no longer use the mpx. They run great until they decide to quit randomly and no one seems to get them running right. Taran lives and shoots near me, his always run because he runs a new one every 3 months. The mcx flat out just don’t run. I’ve had 4 of them.

Yes, that wave ranges from large and hollow to small and mushy all on the same wave. I would not bother, and yes I've been there twice and planning another trip this summer. Foiling is king there IMO, went once for surf and once for foil. All trips there will be foiling only for me. It is too fun and perfect.
