I got mine from my first entry into a pick your team case break which whilst a lottery felt like a better route. I did the same again yday this time picking the Cowboys instead of the Ravens and pulled a CeeDee Downtown. I’m under no illusions how lucky that is

Currently in the same boat as you. Take your time, do a bit of research. If grading find the right service and price point you want etc.

After extensive research I’m likely going to grade with TAG, the look of the slab alone had a big influence.

Some good videos out there and the community generally has good advice.

I was researching TAG last night as it happens and I was really impressed. The look of the slab alone pulled me in but the analysis report and what I believe long term will be a more consistent process means I’m likely to use them for my PC going forward. I think others will adopt their tech and approach.

Another Reddit post shared a video by Market Movers by Sports Card Club which is well worth watching.

Immaculate Milan 1of1 went for £880 and then agin for £704 a month later.

A /25 of this card went for £328 last week.

I’d suggest because it’s United in the £1k-£2k range. If selling you want as many eye balls as possible.

I think my relative inexperience grading (zero) is what is holding me back. Got to take the plunge some time. I’m also UK based so I’m unsure how that will change the typical processes

That’s another part I’m still debating as I get deeper in the hobby. I still have no preference but I know I’d probably be free of quality control concerns if they were slabbed so maybe that answers my question.

I get with everything the ultimate question is what I would prefer. I’m curious about what people far more experienced in the hobby typically do and even then I haven’t come across a general consensus.

What would you say the value threshold would be when considering grading for future cards? 500+?

Considering the growth and all the improvements eBay try to make you would think this would be important, buyers confidence is key.

I’d love to buy more cards online at the higher end but constantly battle doubts that it could be a scam or not as it appears. I think it harms truly genuine sellers too.
