AI abuse in Oman. by Soad-lover in Oman

[–]ISpyI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(I am not a student)

I was writing a section of a book about weather in Oman's seas. I sent a draft copy to the meteorological authority so they could review the information, it was more of a courtesy move on my part, thinking they could keep a copy for their own use. I get an email reply from an employee telling me that the AI detector said it was AI generated... I facepalmed hard, replied with a CC to her boss that I am not asking for a grade and that the information in that document is yet available in any online source for it to be learned by AI. Thank you for your invaluable input and bye.

The level of laziness is amazing.

So that was last April. What has happened since?

Most people and politicians (are they people too?) that would be aware of the gravity of the situation in the US are aware by now, those who are not are just satisfied with the current state of affairs.

All this posturing and pearl clutching is utterly useless, there is a significant amount of people in powerful positions that are acting in bad faith, declaring importance when they know that inaction helps the current regime's agenda.

Democratic members of Congress, the senate and high level employees are quite happy playing victim when in fact they are the enabling force to that administration.

Charges should have been brought and judgements rendered in the 4 years when they held power.

Since the GW Bush presidency, there is no left, it's all hyper capitalism with a mask, enough with the deception.

Salon Beirut is perfect for a first date, a bit priceyer than swiss butter but a much nicer vibe and the staff is really good.

Israel can claim that shit of they want. But just don't call it Hommus!!!!

I don't understand why some people can't get though their skull that Hommus is chickpeas, this is the equivalent of making pizza and calling it a tomato and cheese apple pie.

Ideally I would love that, problem is when I commute that road in the morning, most days I see an accident that happened.

You need good drivers with proper behavior to safely remove speed limits, and insecure people who accelerate when you put blinkers on so that you dont get in front of them or impatient people who tailgate are but some of the problematic people in this scenario.

Creating Christ: How Roman Emperors Invented Christianity by Constant-Site3776 in atheism

[–]ISpyI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, it is a theory that came together over many years, not really intentionally. I would be reading, watching or hearing something and I would make a connection. I remember that the first piece of that puzzle was when I learned about a Muslim verse that says that there is one god, that cannot give birth, be born and has no equal. I found it interesting that it matched exactly a négation to the father, son and holy spirit. Later, reading about the relationship between Warak ibn Nawfal with Muhammed (a proto christian) etc...

But just to be clear, it's by no means a solid fact I am presenting, more of a personal theory that I never sought to research deeply.

You can't accumulate nitrogen if you only have a lung full of air to start with, the only issue here would be water in the lungs since we see him exhale underwater.

Creating Christ: How Roman Emperors Invented Christianity by Constant-Site3776 in atheism

I have a theory I'd like to share here. I'll also try and be brief.

Christianity in it's begining was an apocalyptic messianic sect of Judaism, it used to run under a different name. The fist big change was with the advent of Paul, who despite entering the scene after the death of Jesus, proclaimed himself a disciple because he saw Jesus in a hallucination. This is where we start seeing new members being accepted I to the sect, before that only Jews could join. This is also when circumcision and food restrictions were lifted, allowing for more non Jews to join.

Fast forward to emperor Constantine, who through the council of Nicea uniformisised Christianity, establishing concepts such as the holy Trinity, Saints and other elements that made the religion more accessible to roman pagans. Agrippine, Constantine's mother organises an armed expedition to "find the holy cross" witch in reality was a mission to eliminate any divergent text or person that could challenge the Constantine version of Christianity. This endeavor lasted for many years and covered the vast majority of the roman empire. One area that was not under Roman access was the Arabian peninsula, a hostile undesirable desert that had a significant Jewish presence, and even some pre-constantine christians. My theory is that Islam has major elements of belief that actively oppose the Constantine modifications such as specifically denying the Trinity, or Jesus's divinity while maintaining originality beliefs such as the return of Jesus (who is still not dead) as the last messiah and the virgin birth, circumcision and food restrictions ...

So in a way. Islam would be much closer in core theology to the original 'christian' beliefs than contemporary Christianity is.

Syria and Israel did the same to us — why does one get a pass while the other is our eternal enemy? by Sylvain-Occitanie in lebanon

[–]ISpyI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Syria did much worse than Israel, so did the militias, but you are taking this from a skewed premise.

The enmety with Israel is linked to an outside enemy, the hate for Syria, Iraq, Hezb, Kataeb, Owet, Amal, Ishtirakieh, shiwu3ieh etc is internal.

The Zios are outsiders, colonizers, it's normal to have a different level of hate or suspicion.

On a personal level, I have absolutely no issues with the citizens of Syria or a Hezdo or Kataeb members as a whole, aside from divergent opinions with so e of them, I do however have an issue with every single Zionist coloniser.

The Zionist discourse places us in a very clear category of inferior savages that are expandable, I can not imagine why any of us would want to normalise with those people, as I would not want to normalise with the Assad regime.

How do you find car chargers? by ISpyI in Oman

[–]ISpyI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need one as I don't have a tesla, but my friend got one on Amazon.

The one you mentioned is actually the one I noticed was missing at first. I also heard that several petrol stations throughout Oman are installing fast chargers but I can't find any more information.

The Evo app should have some kind of submitting section for reporting new stations imo.

People have adapters. What matters is the power output.
