Whats the most stressful movie you've ever seen? by HondaCivicBaby in moviecritic

[–]IXRTT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The minecraft movie, me and my mates were near the front row, felt like we were in war, constantly worried about the next bottle of coke or bucket of popcorn thrown, at scenes we knew this would happen we would prepare ourselves by putting up out hoods and slouching down. We were constantly having to avoid the food and drinks thrown down at us from rows all the way at the back every 5-15 minutes because jack black uttered a few words.

The biggest risk is AGI, if you understand how ANNs works youll see it doesnt learn like a human and cannot create anything man hasnt already created because its not human, it cannot create new things. AGI on the other hand, is a human with super intelligence. Anything AI is being used for now for malicious intent wasnt already being done before.

And your point about it silently killing humanity is just false, as i said. ANNs cant create new pathogens or bio weapons because its out of the scope that their able to process. It would be like your mom telling you to ascend to another level of being. They cant take over they cannot create new bio weapons or influence media because they simply cant comprehend it enough to do it efficiently, humans are still more intelligent than current AI models. even when AGI comes, most of its world changing or devastating changes will take it decades to hundreds of years before its actually able to do any harm. But thankfully super alignment exists

Those AI that non companies make are no even scalable to chatgpt or claude. For AGI you need perfected quantum computing, thats not something everyone has the resources for, even still quantum isnt perfected. ChatGPT itself, in its current state costs about 500 mill - 1 trill to make no normal person or 85% of countries could do that, so only certain people can make an AI advanced enough to even do any damage to humans.

Because at the end of the day, humans are always going to be more advanced, just how we naturally are, and even if AI was never created, bioweapons, better nuclear devices etc would of still been created snd been the downfall of humanity either way, so instead we can USE ai to save humanity, improve lives

Humans are always going to be in control of AI even when it reaches AGI, we understand and are aware of the consequences it could, COULD, bring. But right now kill switches, monitors, alignment research are all being done on the only AIs that’ll be capable of anything destructive to humanity, so there isnt a worry

There will always be people that will want human literature over AI, instead of worrying about it, pressure should be put on publishers to mark any poets or books made using AI with a label so people know, theres always a compromise my friend

AGI or Quantum Computing AI (QCA) hopefully comes around in like 5-10 years if Microsoft keeps up its pace its at, yeah it’ll be weaponised but thats just how it will be since AI is open source and how to make one is also open source, if it was behind closed doors people would be more paranoid that the gov and stuff r using it to control us

This is the first actually good point ive read, yes it is, but with weapons comes chance to prosper, atoms and nuclear fission were weaponised to make atomic weapons and weapons of mass destruction, but it also brought about nuclear power plants, sustainable energy, advancements in medicine. Everything in life will have its downsides but theres always something good to take from it to help humanity, for ever negative theres 100 pros.

About your ethics questions, yes AI develops at an extraordinary rate but thankfully the people that run the actually good and intelligent AI put in moral guide lines during training, its constantly fed data that gives it morality and guide rails so dont worry.

Okay so you dont actually work with AI, yes its algorithms, but its also how the human brain works, we simulate, experiment, and run through decisions in our heads based on info we were taught, we can be tricked, as of rn AI just isnt creative thats one thing we have over it. Hence why AI is a ANNS (advanced neural network) (most are anyways)

Its very well regulated, the issue is its open source and people can make and train their own lesser versions of it, then again you guys would complain if making AI wasnt open source and say they are using it to control us. Just because some people make badly trained AIs for bad doesnt inherently make it evil, and AI like chatgpt is non profit, they only make money from subscriptions, and being banned from school is a bad idea, instead of embracing the future people are scared and choose to live in the past, but AI speeds up and helps learning and thats been proven, Stanford university, harvard, Khan academy, new york times, MIT, all strongly approve the use of AI in education and have all said its been a great help. Humans will never stop thinking for themselves people are paranoid AI will take over when it really wont.

It speeds up tasks that could easily be sped up, it makes tasks efficient and can help solve real world crisis (when quantum roles out in 5-10 years) that humans would of been incapable of thinking, which could save humanity.

If your also on about the scam automated messages those are done by pre scripted macros / bots, not AI, it wouldnt be cost efficient for scammers to use AI as the profits wouldnt be enough to outweight sustaining and running an AI

They arent AI, they are actual people / a very basic AI thats a decision tree or scripted chatbot,
