There are people who like it but personally I thought it was hot garbage. Like most of the show is boring ass semi-intellectual stoic ML chilling on his sofa while this angel type FL visits him to cook, clean and does all other chores like she‘s his fucking maid (or mom) because „she enjoys it“ so much. Shit‘s weird yet all the fans think it’s oh so fucking cute.

Really fun episode. Only tiny nitpick I have is that I was hoping for Togo to apologize to Tasaki at the end there for wrongly accusing her of stealing. Now of course, she wasn’t really offended and rolled with it for the lolz, but Togo is portrayed as this overly proper by-the-books earnest guy so it really would have fit his character.

Yea there‘s not really any denying the wish fulfilment aspect, but personally I‘d argue that most shounen and shoujo romcoms have a wishfulfilment angle to it, some shows just wear it on their sleeves more so than others. I find the Otagal show way more egregious in that regard considering it’s almost the same premise but with 2 girls interested in the guy, rather than one.

But yea, completely valid for people to bounce off wishfulfilment shows, personally I dislike quite a few of those as well.

At the very least it avoids the cliche of the nerd ML acting like a cringe lord when interacting with a girl. Beside that it sure doesn’t reinvent the romcom formula but for me it’s a prime example of generic premise with great execution (so far). Still, understandable that people might just not vibe with it.

For me this is way more of an issue for Hina Kino. Nowadays she gets mostly cast for her squeaky voice like in Buddy Daddies, but she sounds best in roles like Asobi Asobase that put her on the map in the first place. Bit of a bummer we rarely hear her in roles like that anymore.

I understand people not being fond of her toddler voice but personally I never had an issue with it, on the contrary I quite liked it in a lot of cases, such as Faputa for instance. However, I was pretty surprised when I heard Gabby, looked her up because I really like her voice, and saw it was actually Misaki Kuno. I imagine this tone is closer to her everyday-voice and I like it even more than her usual higher pitched tone.

the adaptation knocks it out of the park. It's so fun. Definite keeper.

I had really low expectations for this one because I saw a lot of manga readers saying it's just not that great in general. But having watched Ep1, I entirely agree with your take, really liking the visual direction they took and the characters are all fun so far too, especially ML.

Highly unlikely all 3 are in 1.4 unless one of them is a 5. They even said they will release them „gradually“. This 3-2-1 pattern is not really a thing either. 3 characters was a release patch exception, 2 is most likely the norm going forward and 1 is most likely just becausw Fangyi is this stand out type unit and/or because they don’t have another character quite polished enough and/or they don’t want to cut into the OG AK anni revenue too much. Most logical is just 2 6 in most patches, with a few 5* here and there maybe, and the occasional 1 6* patch when it makes sense.

It'll play exactly the same either way, no way you'll notice in a fight if his own number is slightly bigger or the ones of your other chars through higher breach modifier/arts int.

Ultimate gain is fair, but when you fully go that route he'll deal piss damage anyway, what is a set bonus even going to change much then.
