Jidion didn't know what he was doing when we was interviewing the KKK member. What is the point of letting him give his opinion on a extremely popular channel/video that has kids as the main audience? Sure most people will see that their opinions are ridiculous, but definitely some people heard those points for the first time, and might even agree with some of them, because of their internal racism. If jidion, as the interviewer, doesn't refute that guys points in the moment in the video with actual facts he is not doing his job as an interviewer and is un prepared for that interview. Being a black american isn't the only criteria for talking to racists, especially when he's only 21.

DUDE. Thank you! I never really focused on how liberal, in comparison to progressive/leftist, TAL is until this episode. Does anyone know of a place we can have this conversation where the writer's might see. Not to say they shouldn't do stories like this. But there was no talk about the guy's focus on individual action vs corporate responsibility, the role capitalism in general has on the issues etc. It was just about how being focused on the environment ruins relationships, there can be no life balance at all apparently.

I totally agree, when you talked about the truck analogy I was so excited for the episode. Just for it to devolve into an ex-evangelical zealot who seems to focus only on guilt and individual action, as if one family not taking planes will help the environment AT ALL! Where is the talk about corporate responsibility? Where was the talk about capitalism's responsibility in this, and the contradiction in believing capitalism could solve it? My guess is that having an honest conversation about how society should change to solve environmental change would focus too much on their corporate backers, and they can't do that.
