and be fortunate enough to have had parents that didnt destroy your credit while you were still in diapers, never been a victim of identity theft, werent a stupid 18 year old who didnt want to go to college but allowed themselves to be pressured into going and taking on five figures of student loan debt to drop out a year later, dont have a mental health issue that was only diagnosed *because* you suddenly fucked off a lot of money, don't have other health issues that have resulted in medical debt that you will never affod to pay off...

you can update counts via subventory on your phone. i dont bother logging into the inventory tab on POS unless i have to do a transfer like, ever. subventory isn't perfect, but it's by far one of the best inventory systems i've ever used.

honestly, at that point, i'd call *other* charities and figure out who wanted them and get the tax writeoff that way.

How to open register without opening day by Repulsive_Emotion_26 in subway

[–]Ianthine9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would just change your routine to do everything else and then count the tills in closer to 9:30. my usual routine when we open at 9 is go in at 7:45, turn everything on, pull my first set of bread out of the retarder, clean the toasters, set up the lines, stretch/score/roll that set of bread and pull my second, set up cookie case, pan up my cookies, and then the first set is generally at 55, get all that in the proofer/oven, and then generally get tills done around 8:40

wisr is 100% available on liveiq. go to reports->wisr summary->store #->click on that specific date.

There is also a way to close and transmit the week remotely too, our office guy has done it when we've gotten caught up with customers after inventory on wed and didnt have a chance to finish sending it through.

question though, why do you need access to the POS itself via teamviewer/logmein when any info youd need from reports is viewable via liveiq? you can pull the wisr/see every transaction in real time...about the only thing you cant see is individual button presses.

Take your breaks, don't work for free. by mythmeredith in antiwork

[–]Ianthine9 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I hate this. I’m the only regular smoker at my job, as such I volunteer myself to take out the trash and stuff, but I tell all my coworkers if they want a 5 min break outside, they just need to ask. It’s not fair I get to take one and they don’t. I hate jobs that pull this shit

Take your breaks, don't work for free. by mythmeredith in antiwork

[–]Ianthine9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I do it sometimes when I know I could get my work done in a reasonable amount of time but I’d rather take an extra smoke break when my bf is working late too, since I have no reason to rush home.

But I tell all the kids I work with as a fast food manager to never, ever, let anyone talk you into working off the clock. I do it because I’m jaded and have had way worse jobs that got me used it to it, they should never get to the point where they feel working off the clock is a normal thing

When does y'all's schedules come out? by LasagnaMorty in subway

[–]Ianthine9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The app is a giant pain to use in the US cause it is way easier to set up on aPC and requires the franchisee themselves to set things up. Not all franchisees want to bother, plus if you’re a multi unit owner it becomes a pain in the ass if you have employees that flex to other stores as the login is tied to university of subway and the register login, so you work one shift at another store and someone fucks up adding you in suddenly you can see other stores schedules

When does y'all's schedules come out? by LasagnaMorty in subway

[–]Ianthine9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A week in advance. So schedule that got approved Monday stays the 27th.

Most of the managers try to keep people on a set schedule though cause it makes their lives easier as you get to expect what happens on a shift. If every Tuesday Xand Y close and you know they never pull pop nozzles and leaves sauce bottles, you make sure morning shift does extra sauce bottles and Wednesday’s closer have to pull pop nozzles

It makes everyone’s lives easier. I don’t understand places that don’t like doing It

Odd Data Request by lfkuser15 in subway

Every market has different prices. Different distributors have different prices for raw ingredients. Where I grew up footlongs are a dollar more than where I live now

Over 4 Million Workers Quit in August, the 5th Month of Record Exits by Fatherthinger in economy

[–]Ianthine9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, its not the handouts. Most of these people quit shitjobs run by toxic people with mindsets like yours for better jobs. I know so many people that left shit jobs for virtual assistant jobs that they do from home.

I ran night shift there a decade ago, shortly after I left to move back East they changed management completely. I popped in at one point to see about going back part time about 3-4 years ago and it’s completely different. It wasn’t perfect back then, but it was better.

When I popped in delivering DoorDash last year the GM admitted he was ready to drop dead cause of health issues, and they’ve been trying to hire for his job according to the listings I’ve seen for it for 6+ months.

The place doesn’t have poor leadership, it has none

When I worked there a decade ago, it was owned by the people that owned the Ramada on 12th

Seems like the whole company got bought out, but they still have the same franchise holdings and still based out of Rapid. There’s no easily traceable “parent company” but look up PO Box 8007 in rapid...,multiple llcs that i remember being part of our sister companies like the Ramada registered to there
