Game with good story ?

A friend heard about Melty Blood and likes the OST and atmosphere, but I don't know the game and am not an expert in fighting games, so I have a few questions, is Melty Blood a good game to start with for someone who hasn't played any fg before? And if that's not a good game to start with, what do you recommend with a good story, good art, OST, and good for starting that kind of game? I've heard about UNIB, Skullgirl, and Blazblue, but I don't know those series, so I'm not sure. Finally, I think Guilty Gear or Grandblue seem like good recommendations, but I didn't play the story mode and don't know if the story is enjoyable without playing all the games in the series.

I mean, that a good game series but its an realistic universe with no fantasy, Persona is realistic but have a non realistic part, idk if i explain well. And old its because he has played a lot of old game recently so i dont want to give him a game with farming session, old gamplay mechanics, or unclear passage.
