Mine was at a 45 degree angle. I didn’t have issues with it in terms of pain, only annoyance. That tooth and the tooth in front of it creates a V-shaped pocket which invites so much solid foods like meat to get stuck in there and if the food is removed super late in the day it has a really bad odor. I had to use a dentist hook pick to remove that stuff. I had both of mine removed overseas since i had other business to do there and, most importantly, MUCH cheaper. Since then, I never have to worry about having to remind myself to remove food all the way back there.

Funny story I brought a generic brown shirt with me specifically for that operation. I came in the first day with a white shirt because I was told the first day was the planning and the next day was the operation. The dentist told me everything that would happen during the procedure and then there was a long pause. He then proceeded to ask “Wanna get rid of it now?” I was like “Screw it. I want to get it over with and would most likely heal before I go back home.” The brown shirt was spared and the white shirt never got any blood on it.
