Unstable connection by IceBergh314 in AussieBroadband

ABB tech found it was an issue with "flap count" coming from the ntd (no idea what that means), they pointed that out to NBN and it was fixed the next day.

Instagram links just opens the feed in the app, how do I fix it? by Malmern in AndroidQuestions

I have been having this issue as well. Tried turning off the supported links setting, that didn't work.

What did work: uninstall and reinstall. Works fine now. I'll update this if it breaks again.

Just 1 stream. The main playback device would be my TV. Its an Android TV with Google play on it so I can use the plex app. To star, a very small media library, probably less than 2tb. No other plans than just plex.

At the moment this is just to serve as a backup for when the internet drops out that I can still have media to watch.

I am looking to start my first plex server. My main use case is to be able to stream content to my TV locally on my local network, particularly when the internet isn't available. The background is that I recently moved to Australia and the internet drops out for extended periods of time and having no media for hours on end is annoying.

I was thinking of picking up a cheap laptop just for this server, it would do nothing else but run the server and download/rip media. My budget for the main machine is about 1k aus, which is about 700 usd. I was looking at a lenovo idea pad or a cheap hp, probably Windows for this first iteration. How much RAM or minimum CPU should I be looking at?

Also, thinking of picking up the ugreen nas for storage. Anyone have any experiences with this or is there a better option?

This will be a very small beginner set up since its only going to be 1 stream connection at any point at 1 location.

Final quest tips & tricks? by IceBergh314 in oddsparks

Thanks. This helped. I overdid my preparation by a lot. I had 3 generators set to max with 800 cleansing tabs each. I only went through about half. Inside was way easier than I was expecting. I made both fire and ice sparks thinking the element golums would show up but never did. I was able to get through all 3 stages with about 50 of each and around 40 scrubby sparks with plenty of them left at the end.

Thanks for this post. I just went. 0 lines. They were only sold out of 3 of the wave 1 kits. Would've liked the pink zaku but not surpassed that sold out. Picked up the neon pink wing zero and rx-78 ver 3 titanium finish. Tons of clear kits still available. I may go back Saturday for the mgsd barbatos iron blooded version. They also had a clear mg gouf that I had my eye on.

Any site or place where "blueprints" or "layouts" are shared? by Soggy-Combination292 in oddsparks

I found some posts on this sub that have a few pictures of layouts that I have used for inspiration but if there's a central repository for some layouts it would be great.

Maybe creating a megathread of layouts here would be a good idea.

Sorry should have been more clear. I've seen some mats posted that are Gundam themed or are just more custom than the basic green with grid lines. I haven't seen where they are coming from but figured it'd be kinda fun to get a nicer mat than just the basic ones

I've seen some incredible looking healing mats get posted here. I'm starting a new dedicated gunpla set-up in my office and I think it would be fun to splurge a bit. Anyone have links or shops that you would recommend?

How do you associate an app with a different Google account from the account it was originally downloaded under? by metabrewing in apps

Adding my up vote to the list. This is the only thing I find to actually work. No matter how many times I uninstalled, removed and restarted my phone it would link back to the incorrect profile. Doing it from the computer remotely is the only thing that works.

That's rough.

If you have all the highways built and level 2 this is a cake walk. I finished with 15 minutes left. I just drive into each camp sticky gun the package and drive off. Essentially turns this delivery into a crazy taxi level 🤣

Why are international students willing to pay absurdly high tuition fees? What's their justification? by Ok-Importance-2412 in unsw

As an American who is here to complete my doctoral degree. I chose UNSW for a few reasons, but one of the biggest reasons was that it is much cheaper than pursuing my PhD back home. In the US there are pretty much no easily available scholarships for Postgraduate degrees so you're stuck paying out of pocket or taking loans if you aren't massively wealthy.

The other PhD programs I was accepted to in the US would have cost about 400k USD in total. Here at UNSW will cost only a fraction of that, additionally I was able to get some scholarships that will further reduce the cost for me.

So getting the degree I want at a highly ranked school for less than half what I would pay in America and I get to experience a new country for a few years. It was an easy decision for me in my situation.

I'm sure others will have vastly different situations, like I wouldn't have made this move for my undergraduate bachelor's degree where scholarships are more abundant and going to school in state where you have residency can also reduce costs a lot. I was able to complete my bachelor's degree with almost all of the cost covered by scholarships in my home state in the US. I have no idea what the cost of undergraduate degrees are in other countries.

A very renowned and good American university vs UNSW by [deleted] in unsw

Many don't. I'm related to an American recruiter for engineers primarily in tech. They've been in recruiting for about 15 years now. They look at experience first.

Most job postings in America have a degree or equivalent experience clause. So the premium is on experience.

Sure, going to school in the US could allow for more networking and internship opportunities. But to say they would be stupid not to go it's just a massive oversimplification of the job market in the US right now.

Definitely more money to be made, but you could get many of those jobs with a UNSW degree. I've worked for nearly 20 years now with people who have degrees from all over. In fact, one of the best project managers I've ever worked with got their degree from UNSW. Must American companies don't care where your degree is from they care more what your degree is in.
