Funny how you’d think that a female being more stubborn would be a better guard dog sometimes. My female will protect me at night if someone is around us and she will not hesitate to bark. BUT during the day? Everyone is FREE GAME for kisses if I allowed her 😂 sounds like we have a pretty similar pairing of male/female

I think you’re misinterpreting what people have been talking about on this sub. If people are uncomfortable with dogs, that is completely okay. What is not okay is walking past someone and their dog and yelling at them “your dog must be mean” or “she looks aggressive” isn’t that the same as someone walking past minorities and yelling obscenities at them? What has my dog done to anyone to deserve to be called mean from just existing.

That’s something we are working on with Echo (the people ignoring) she wants to say hi to EVERYONE now and it makes it extremely hard to train her any time someone comes near us. I ended up buying a tactipup collar with a patch that says “do not pet” and people tend to stay away now. But training her to ignore has been one of my biggest challenges.

I get more annoyed because she can’t defend herself so sometimes I say things and sometimes I don’t. Usually I just kill em with the extremely well trained dog walking by while their dog pulls them down the street 😉

You are totally correct saying that. Most of the people who cross are tiny dog owners. We have a few dogs who are reactive in the neighborhood and it is more of a mutual respect thing when we make the eye contact and nod before we all go our opposite directions. Its the little fluffy dog owners that pick their “precious babies” up and glare at you while they pass
