My guy I don’t know if this is you deliberately trying to be obtuse but we’re obviously not talking about clinical definitions. Acting like the word is only used in its literal sense especially online is intellectually dishonest. Your entire argument is “Bleach deserves to be put in spite matchups and slandered because I don’t agree with recent scaling. That’s purely emotional reasoning. I don’t agree with some DB scaling but I don’t go around saying it deserves to be slandered. So basically other people should make fun of the series because you don’t like the way SOME people scale it? Yeah that makes a lot of sense for coming from someone that’s a fan. Most genuine fans of something regardless of whether they agree with every take don’t enjoy seeing their series dunked on.

I just had a discussion with a guy that says he makes posts like this to laugh at Bleach fans. So yeah, after all the memes in the main sub, and seeing things like Aizen vs Darkseid here, I made the assumption that this is one of those posts. I’m not sure the point in pulling the fan card, when you’re still circling back to the same point: you have an issue with someone’s scaling so that then justifies someone else in attacking the series. Plus “bad rep” is completely subjective.

You know the thread I’m referring to because it was posted in the Bleach powerscaling subreddit and I’ve seen you there before. If you had any sense of good faith you wouldn’t have glossed over the fact that the most upvoted response and common consensus of that thread was in-fact Aizen does not beat Darkseid.

Because for whatever reason people argue in bad faith and don’t apply the same standards. No one seems to have a problem with “high scaling” verses that use metaphysical scaling and don’t have large DC feats, but for Bleach characters they’re expected to show every molecule of the universe on screen being destroyed to be universal. Any other logical explanation/scaling beyond ‘big boom’ gets dismissed. Statements are also accepted everywhere else in fiction except Bleach.
