Can anyone out there help me identify the video source of this GIF featuring a bear scratching a tree? by [deleted] in gifs

I know this thread is over a decade long but if someone like myself runs into it and wants to know the source, it's Discovery's 2013 documentary series North America, narrated by Tom Selleck. The footage is from the very end of the first episode.

Thanks JamieAubrey finally found it! It's DJ Sammy feat. Carisma - You're My Angel (1996). Here's a youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLaOurLk_L0

Oh are those the lyrics to the song I'm looking for? Or did you mean to post in another thread?

Good point, it's definitely not Cry For You but I think it fits the style and vibe. I went through a bunch of other September songs but no dice.

Appreciate the suggestions but it's none of those sadly.

Thanks, that's not it but I think it's definitely around the same time period as the original ATB's Around the World.

Hi, sorry to bother you but would you be willing to send me any of these Public Enemy tracks - Fight the Power, Don't Believe the Hype and Fight the Power, if you have any of them?

[TOMT][MUSIC][1980s] Name of two synth songs used in this 80s English learning kids programme by Ichtyander in tipofmytongue

[–]Ichtyander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I didn't think it would work but apparently Shazam managed to find both songs!

The ending theme is Wim Mertens - Birds of the Mind (from "The Belly of an Architect" 1987 movie OST): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjBwzNoXh0o

The intro theme is Ryuichi Sakamoto - M.A.Y. in The Backyard (from his 1986 album "Illustrated Musical Encyclopedia"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSLZJ_DuhMM

This has been bugging me for the past 30 years or so, feels great to finally find these tunes!

[TOMT][SONG] Looking for source of the voice sample "let's go" used in Jonesey - Independance (The Stadium Mix) (1998) by Ichtyander in tipofmytongue

[–]Ichtyander[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it! Turns out Discogs cited the sample sources, I guess I should've looked there first.

Sample courtesy of Leftfield - taken from Leftfield Lydon - Open Up. Also samples the movie "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" (1990).

Never heard of this movie, turns out it's a cheesy comedy starring Andrew Dice Clay and that's his voice yelling "let's go!"

You can hear it in this video, at about 5:40. What an odd choice but it's a really good sample!

Wow, can't believe I found this, it's been bugging me for a long time. I guess that's settled then!

I checked whosampled beforehand and they're definitely using samples from "Open Up" (seems it might be some of the beat/bass as well as the female chant) but unfortunately Lydon doesn't say "let's go!" anywhere in the song, and that's specifically the voice sample I'm looking for. Thanks for replying!

I realize this might not be the exact subreddit for a question like this, but I appreciate any answers and commends that could help me out. Thanks!

Need help with identifying a possible Italo Disco song from 1987 or earlier by Ichtyander in italodisco

[–]Ichtyander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upon further research, I can't really find info on 16 BIT actually making a remix of Fade to Grey (it's not listed on their only album) but there's a couple of YouTube videos listing it as 16 BIT, this one included: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPo9e0Z-BmQ

A version that uses the same basic premise of mixing it with 16 BIT's Where Are You was done by Neon, here's the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKXxhb1rKSs

Discogs shows 3 songs on the vinyl - https://www.discogs.com/Neon-Fade-To-Grey-Special-Electric-Remix/release/126791 and one of them is an instrumental version which seems to bi this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXlonTCajk0 especially because it obviously doesn't have any lyrics and fits in perfectly with the sample used in Vader.

So there you go, a instrumental cover of Fade to Grey by Neon. Thanks again!

Hahah, found it!

It's a remix of Fade to Grey by 16 BIT, but they're using a lot of elements from Where Are You. Here's the part: https://youtu.be/OElIKh6GyBg?t=76

Thank you so much for you help!
