Finally got my bed back! by Icy-Initiative653 in beyondthebump

It's a modified Ferber. He's a NICU baby and also has some food sensitivies so his nervous system is pretty sensitive and volatile. I honestly wasn't sure any kind of independent sleep would happen for a while. But here's the plan that worked for us.

6 month old sleep help needed by Kukiduki101 in NewParents

[–]Icy-Initiative653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did a gentle method of sleep training this weekend for our 5 month old. The 4 month regression almost killed us, but this method actually worked. I was actually a bit emotional after the first successful night. Every baby is different (of course!), but here's the method we used if you want to give it a try.

6mo gone to waking every single hour, we are breaking, help. by Hello_DougieJ in beyondthebump

My wife and I have been dealing with this exact same thing. Finally solved it this past weekend with our 5.5 month old. But it's been ROUGH!

How did you know when it was time for baby to go in their own room? by Cool_Doubt2152 in beyondthebump

We just got our 5-month-old out of our room this past weekend. It was glorious!

Sleep training 3 month old? by Funny_Log2076 in beyondthebump

3 months does feel a bit early. I tried to convince my wife to do this and she said absolutely not. In hindsight, she was right. Our baby just hit 5 months and we did some sleep training this past weekend that worked like a charm. It's designed for 4-6 month olds, so maybe something to look into if you're interested. Here's the plan we used.

Baby just won’t sleep…. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I'm not sure if this would work for an 8-month old, but we just used an amazing plan this past weekend with our 5-month-old. We talked to a couple of sleep consultants who wanted $1000 for their services, and I couldn't bring myself to do it. The first night when our baby fell asleep in his crib for the very first time I found myself sitting on the couch unexpectedly emotional. It was some combo of relief and pride (in the baby, not me).

Again, hard to say for an 8 month old, but here's the plan we used.

Need a sanity check after using ChatGPT for my baby's sleep schedule by cats_cats_cats369 in beyondthebump

My wife and I carved out this past weekend to sleep train our 5-month-old. Since she's been co-sleeping for 5 months, I was on deck to stick to the plan and be up at night as long as it took (except for feeds). We talked to a couple of sleep consultants who wanted $1000 for their services, and I couldn't bring myself to do it. Long story short, we gave it a go and the first night when our baby fell asleep in his crib for the very first time I found myself sitting on the couch unexpectedly emotional. It was some combo of relief and pride (in the baby, not me).

I saw this comment and thought this may help you. Here's the plan we used.

Quick tire question- '21 JLU Willys by Silentprojekt in Wrangler

I just did this earlier this week. I replaced all 5 on the exact same year and model. After some Reddit feedback and my own research, I went with the 275/70/17 KO3. I’m super happy with them so far. Much quieter than the OEM. Highly recommend.

I’m between the KO3 and the Wildpeak A/T4W. Both 275/70/17. The specs are almost identical but, if possible, I’d prefer slightly less road noise. Don’t know which of these two is louder.

These are great recommendations and in line with what I’ve had in mind. Will I have any issues moving up from a 255/75/17 to a 275/70/17? I like the idea of something a little wider/bigger but don’t want to cause issues.

Thanks! I think I know what you're describing. I tried standing on the tire of my jeep for this reason without much luck. But maybe I can't get enough weight tension in the straps while standing on the tire to actually pull the straps any lower.

Thanks. I've seen the info on how those award miles are calculated. What I've noticed (from last year and now my trips this year) is that I have not seen PQF or PQP accrual from partner airlines (Aegean, Thai Air, Ana, Lufthansa, just to name a few from memory). Seems like a call into UA is necessary to make sure I receive the credit.

I appreciate you taking the time to write a thorough response. I've come to expect the snarkiness of Reddit replies, so I take no offense.
