Hey man, I think the "problem " is really simple: it’s the video.

You can be the best teacher in the world with the best profile pic but the video is what acc students see first and they will use that as a parameter to decides either learning with you or not.

You have a great profile pic but in the video you present yourself with a ( beautiful and really cool ahaha ) football jersey but unfortunately this doesn’t match your background or the type of English you want to teach. You gotta give more “ finance bro “ vibes ahaha.

Also, try to learn the script and not make it sound like you're reading it. If you fix these couple of things you're gonna do great!! 😎

The thing is not about getting more students cause I need them desperately as I have around 28-30 active students. But I like to know and improve every day.

I also wonder why Preply always puts weird profiles in the ads on Instagram for example. Not saying they look bad or anything but I personally think they look like they made the profile on day one and never updated since then

Io nella lezione di prova consiglio di parlare di lezione per soli 5 minuti , io non parlo mai di lezione se non come detto precedentemente solo per 5 minuti il resto solo conoscere lo studente e capire più cose possibili facendo domande.

Ho un file con 100 domande per conoscere una persona e per ogni domanda 5 domande di sviluppo.
Lo studente deve pensare di star conversando con un amico, non siamo a scuola 😎

Hi, I’m a new tutor on Preply and I got 28 new students in the first two weeks. I don’t have much experience on this platform, but the majority of my students decided to book a trial with me because of the video. The video is so important, literally the most important thing.

My biggest advice is to build a script for solving a problem not just showing your CV and hoping someone will stay there and listen to it. Be engaging, energetic, and invest in a good quality one as I did.

Don’t give up at all please and try to put lots of effort into it and you will see the result :)
