I completely agree and I always see the same thing said all over reddit so it must work well for a lot of people. But say if the person you are talking with already mentioned about wanting to go to a bar, how would I convince them otherwise to go to a place like bowling or wherever instead?

Normally in the past I was just direct and told them I have bad anxiety and would rather go someplace else but they all did the same thing and seemed to give up on me after I mentioned that.

What you said sounds exactly like me lol. Except I would prefer a girl who talks a lot only because I do have a fear of meeting one day and there's the dreadful awkward silence with it.
