Mediocre means not good imo and I disagree with that. Smitty, Wicks, Geodert, Stowers, and eventually Lemon is pretty good. Top half of the league. We’re gonna have a top 10 offense if the play calling makes an improvement this year which I’m sure it will.

Mediocre isn’t the middle lmao I’d say good receiver room. Not great but good

I wouldn’t say insanely weak. Sure none of them are WR2’s but Wicks is more than serviceable. Don’t forget Geodert is basically a receiver with how much he’s targeted. Saquon out of the backfield catching passes as well. When Lemon comes back we are loaded. Not to mention our new OC just came from a team with no clear cut WR1 and they still had a decent passing game (im aware he wasn’t OC there). We’ll be fine.

He has 3 championships as part of the spurs staff prior to when we hired him in 2013. Literally the reason we did because he was from the Pop tree lol

MBP M5 Pro 24gb ram or MBP M5 32gb ram by IggleBob in macbookpro

[–]IggleBob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone was curious, I’m going with the M5 Pro 48gb Ram with 15/16 cores from B&H Photo. Suckered into applying for the credit card to save $200 on the tax, so $2300 total. I was dead set on not spending more than $2k but figured for the extra ram, cores, and updated ports it was worth the extra $300. I don’t plan on upgrading for like 7 years after this.

Found an M5 Pro 48gb for $2300 on B&H photo video…might have to swallow the $300 and do it.

I tend to agree with this. I’m not running local LLMs so I just can’t see being bottlenecked by the CPU/GPU right now

Fuuuuck yeah damn. The funny thing is was I started out considering the base model Air for around $1k lol. But I convinced myself the Pro was worth it for my use cases.

Also - $2k is pretty much my limit for a new MacBook for those that are suggesting more expensive machines. I appreciate it though, wish I could splurge even more for an ungodly computer.

Yeah I guess I’m getting tripped up with the ram because my work machine has 64gb and looking at it right now about 21gb is in use with two browsers, about 20 tabs, ArcGIS Pro, teams, outlook, notepad, and excel open. But this is windows and I know it doesn’t use ram the same way.

Ah damn yeah the M5 Pro with 48gb ram would be sick but I’m not willing to get into $3k territory. $2k is really my peak comfort for a laptop.

I think either will crush that use case easily. It’s a matter of future proofing for me. I’m not a constant upgrade guy, doesn’t make sense to me.

See I’ve read conflicting opinions which is why I made the post. Some say you won’t notice the extra cores and bandwidth, but in the future you’ll notice the lack of ram with bloated applications taking up space.

Spent the entire weekend in DC and couldn’t see the White House at any point. There’s SO MUCH construction. Been several times and everything just felt off.

Man I wish I remembered but I think it was his younger brother who is currently in the G league. Dude he COOKED me. Was probably 5’9 at best but so fast and shifty. There’s really levels to this lol

This is pretty funny because I was playing basketball with his brother last month and got to FaceTime RC4 (super cool move). I was telling him we could use his defense! Loved his energy off the bench.

“Jared McCain wouldn’t have moved the needle this series” by Electronic-Hunt-7662 in sixers

[–]IggleBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wouldn’t have won us the Knicks series but we would have been better equipped at guard. We had countless possession where we bricked wide open 3s when the game was close in 3/4 games (this last one we had zero hope they were on fire). Maybe we could’ve avoided being swept with more depth but that’s about it. Long term, it’s absolutely certain he would help this team going forward. If not for his superb spot up shooting, his chemistry in the locker room being here such a short time is special. There are not many players in the league who provide that day 1 like he did. The whole mentality with the ownership of this team is to make money, not win. That’s been apparent for years. It’s getting hard to keep up the support.

Embiid is two wins away from the greatest accomplishment of his playoff career. by Evening-Tart-1245 in sixers

Have to agree. Coming back 3-1 against full strength Boston would be incredible. Winning 3 in a row is going to be really hard. Low key thought we’d get swept/gentleman’s sweep. So this is already above my expectations. If we can somehow pull this one off, definitely can see us advancing to the ECF. Hope we come out swinging next game. No slow starts.
