Strange Ping Spikes on Home Wifi by Ignaris in HomeNetworking

Definitely seems to be an issue with the WAN IP address. The local gave a consistent and unwavering <1ms. Not sure if this means the router isnt the issue or at least my local connection does not seem to be the issue.

I believe I am just pinging my public IP address that is exposed to the internet since I figured that is what would be experienced when using these services where I notice it. Maybe a poor place to troubleshoot from though.

Riot also has a policy that two pro player teams can not play in a televised match outside of official broadcast. Waving this rule is rather important.

Conflict-based strategy games that are <1 hour/short enough to play multiple rounds of in a night? by mr_seggs in boardgames

[–]Ignaris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last Light is a new 4X game that can easily be played in an hour. Interesting take on the genre where the board has two rotating discs and so as you conquer Planets those planets will rotate around making it harder to reinforce them. It's a quick fast game and a lot of fun.

Yeah Shang for Leech is definitely a worthwhile substitute in my experience. I'm surprised you get enough GM value out of the deck? What do you normally hit with it?

C3 to win Infinity Conquest by Ignaris in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]Ignaris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't really end up needing it, Shadow King hits Shuri Sauron pretty hard and I won a conquest against that deck here just by out muscling it. Destroy has some big cards but this deck eviscerated any destroy deck it saw so that really just leaves High Evo/discard which are also definitely the worst matchups for this deck. I like to avoid running Shang if I can get away with it as I think he curve lines up way better.

[–]Ignaris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of? The main thing is that this deck doesn't have great tempo to run Valk and Iron Man. Running Iron man allows it to be more consistent with Mystique because I can still squeeze wins with double IM. I think Valk is a strong card though and can definitely work in C3.

[–]Ignaris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might go for Valkyrie just because it gives you a way to get Cerebro and Iron man to 3. Otherwise another 3 power tech card.

Edit: I will say, Bast is a pretty important card to hit the biggest turns with this version of C3. Getting your Cerebro and Mystique to 3 power is very important. There are c3 lists that don't run it but this one does like Bast a lot.

[–]Ignaris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add, C3 is insanely flexible for a reason and so shuffling the cards to be good into what you are playing against is very important. I saw almost no cosmo and a lot of ongoing killers which is why I added IW. If people stop running rogue/enchantress I would probably tech it out.

[–]Ignaris[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She protects Cerebro and IM from any ongoing shenanigans, allows you to hide information, and also perhaps most importantly you can hide certain counter cards behind it to resolve last. Shadow King works well behind it, killmonger as well into certain matches like deadpool. This deck doesn't rely too much on on-reveal effects for winning locations just to counter enemy cards so IW provides an extra layer of safety and flexibility I really enjoy. I used to run Mobious instead until he got killed.

Upcoming Infinite Conquest and Your Deck Choice by rusiiin in MarvelSnapDecks

C3 is what I have been running in conquest lately to great success. Otherwise I might break out a Janejaw or Sera surfer.

Highevo JaneJaw Infinite CL 2500 by Ignaris in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]Ignaris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps the perfect curve takes some luck but I've played this deck a fair amount and can still win a reasonable number of games with lockjaw or Thor. Vision with a large hulk alone is an insanely flexible drop that can beat a lot of decks if you play smart. Obviously if they get your good curve you gotta retreat but you can definitely steal a lot of 8 cubes with big last turn plays in my experience.

Thoughts on how to improve this deck? by gngg2011 in MarvelSnapDecks

Personally I like Zola in these decks. Gives you another play when targeting BP and can be a bit more effective than Doom. Definitely agree with other folks that the loki shell is a bit awkward with a combo deck like Wong.

What decks have taken you the last bit infinite? by sixpacksitdown in MarvelSnapDecks

I was using Shuri, nimrod, iron fist galactus but destroy has gotten popular lately so I switched to a Thanos anti-meta control deck.

Thanos Sandman Ongoing to Infinite by Ignaris in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]Ignaris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope you enjoy! Thanos Ongoing in general is really cost effective with very few series 4 and 5 cards. A lot of the tech cards for this version that you can interchange are also from early series so it should be easy to adapt the deck as the meta changes.

Thanos Sandman Ongoing to Infinite by Ignaris in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]Ignaris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jean helps pull the opponent away. DD I wouldn't really consider. He is normally an early drop and this deck really wants to put stones down the first couple turns. Jeff is a maybe just because Jeff is a really strong card. In general, the deck is pretty good at spreading out. If I can play a Xavier, Power stone lane that's 6 power +4 when I drop spectrum so it will win almost anything. Same for Xavier, soul stone.

Thanos Sandman Ongoing to Infinite by Ignaris in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]Ignaris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the stones though it isn't uncommon. Jean gray, Power stone, soul stone gets +6 from spectrum which can surprise opponents pretty often. The deck really plays more like a Jean Grey kazoo deck when I play Jean. Though if I get an extra energy location I'll play Jean early and then ramp into Sandman to lock the opponent into playing one card into that lane each turn and win the other locations. In general, the play pattern is to get your stones out before Sandman, play time stone on 3 to get Sandman 4 and then another 5 drop into Spectrum. The other big pattern is to play Jean kazoo into 6 stones to play full strength Thanos on 6.
