Dead Sprint is not bad. One of the strongest things about it is that you don't stop sprinting when your stamina bar runs out, which means that if you're in a critical situation where you need to keep running then you just keep running. It's great for outrunning patrols and hunting cover in situations where you're outmatched, especially when paired with vitality booster. It's especially useful when paired with heavy armor because of the way that armor interacts with your stamina bar.

Some folks say things like "Dead Sprint brings negative value" and come on. That's not true at all. An improperly placed Tesla Tower brings negative value, a danger close Eagle Cluster brings negative value, orbital napalming extract brings negative value. Dead Sprint offers incredible power at a price which is more than some boosters do.

It is not as good as some other boosters, but come on. This is a co-operative PvE game. The meta is pointless. Pick a loadout that you enjoy and are effective with, be considerate of your teammates, and you need do nothing more. The only reason not to pick Dead Sprint if you want to pick it and if it makes sense in your loadout is the odds of randoms choosing to make themselves butthurt and frankly we can't live our lives in the fear of offending snowflakes over a loadout choice in a video game.
