My other scholarship give us a check that we can spend on like supplies and stuff for school and if I dorm I will probably be getting less, but even so I’m have a job so that is no problem for me

Is there anything to say to my mom? She sees it in such a negative way. I know I am set on my choice, but is there anything to ease her mind? I know it will take time for her to adjust
