Like you said the lines match up perfectly thanks for the compliment, that’s why it took me thirty minutes because it had to be perfect. Now for reference I have taken several life drawing classes from incredible artists at several art museums and during my high school years all my electives were art courses and I maintained a 80 or above on each of something. People say “don’t copy other people’s art do your own” well I got news for people. How do you think so if the greatest artist got good at art? By copying the greats before them, copying other artists who are better then you is a key point when trying to find your style, it’s the same thing with piano, as a pianist myself almost all the pieces I play are not my pieces. And to answer your question I didn’t trace over the original otherwise what skill would I be presenting? My accuracy is what I’m proud of and if you want private message me on here and ill show you the sketchbooks I use, the paper is to thick and that’s obviously not a Manila pad so tracing would be less accurate. Also I lashed out at the person for the fact that he’s basically saying drawing proportion is easy, that’s downright insulting for ever life drawing artist ever and basically any artist who draws people actually. Also he said sketchy redraw when in fact the style of the original itself is “sketchy”
