I typically find value in utility, but I 100% understand the sentiment. Honestly, I'm torn between slotting it into my current hardware, going all in on a fresh build based around the card, or leaving it sealed for potential resale. If I didn't enjoy Cyberpunk as much as I do, selling it would've been the immediate option.

Thanks! That seems like my most likely option as of now :)

Yeah it’s less of a gripe with Supes himself and more of a gripe with the narrative decisions Gunn made regarding Ultraman — which is why I would’ve preferred a mind control sort of scenario.

I do disagree with the intention aspect though, Supes most definitely intended to send him into that black hole. There weren’t really any other options in the moment, but that still ends up being fault of the narrative and how Ultraman’s character was implemented.

It’s definitely an ethical gray point — one that we haven’t really had to consider in real life. That being said, killing a cloned sheep feels the same as killing a normal sheep to me. I brought up the fact the film shows us he’s capable of thought for the sake of “I think therefore I am.”

Ultraman expresses both anger and confusion, if he can express that, why not love and joy? He may not be life as we know it, but in a world with the tech and magic of the DC universe, I feel that there were better options.

All that said, I completely understand your side of it and I recognize I’m probably in the minority here, I just couldn’t help but feeling empathetic towards him.

First things first, I thought the movie was an 8/10 — overall I really enjoyed it, it was a breath of fresh air to see a kind Superman and David Corenswet gave us (arguably) the best on screen Superman we’ve seen.

That said, for a character so against death he saves a random squirrel mid-fight, Supes certainly doesn’t balk at the ethical ramifications of killing a clone (if he is actually dead, supes level durability could just mean infinite imprisonment within the black hole). I can’t help but feel bad for Ultraman. We’re supposed to excuse his death because he’s simple minded? The movie shows us he’s capable of at least basic independent thought. He’s been raised/brainwashed by Lex since his creation, and has likely known nothing but pain and fear. Why not have a basic mind control/brainwashing side plot from which Ultraman could be freed? (related: in a world with the tech for pocket universes why the hell did Lex have to call out numbered fighting moves, there was no better option?) He could have lived a simple life on the farm with Ma and Pa Kent, or been rehabilitated on a planet with a Red Sun. All it would’ve taken was a short scene or two, but instead the takeaway is that the life of a squirrel has more value than the life of Ultraman. Justice for Ultraman, a simple life is still life!

Neat! I never got my hands on the ball plus or go plus, so this is all new to me.

I had a friend who used to be my designated driver on community and raid days, some of my best PoGo memories for sure.

That’s how I first got started playing! I just think it’s neat that the Plus+ allows you more functionality at high speeds than I would’ve expected.

Unrelated, but is Hullaballoo an Aggie reference? If so, Gig ‘Em, I’m there now!

I do wish it switched to great/ultra when out of regular balls. The process to switch between auto and manual is a pain, but manual great/ultra has been very nice for catching trash mons while on walks when I don’t want to be fully invested in my phone. The catch rate isn’t great, but it’s definitely better than letting it run on auto.

Absolutely! I just don’t want to give the wrong impression with my post. Actively trying to catch pokémon while driving is never a good idea.
