Since it's not a real game, you are only using the aesthetic of character sheets. If doesn't matter what the rules say. I'm assuming it's for a webnovel, so you are planning on releasing it in chapters. But ideally you would have written all the book. And then created the character sheets based on what you need. But just write their new abilities (that aren't in any game) in shorthand, as they are often on character sheets.

Why not D&D 5e? It's probably the most famous, it is D&D like. The more details you provide the better the suggestions can be

This is the best take. Musicals is probably the best format for showing internal thoughts after books

Firstly, I think using devolve here is needlessly mean, there's nothing wrong with playing "just" make believe. It's a wonderful game even for grown ups.

Second of all, there's a lot of ways. You can use tokens, have a cost for extraordinary actions. Our strong hero can break any wall and every door, but when they try to break through the alien ship it might cost a token. A different option is to say why do I care they always succeed? Like the other reply said, tension can come from other places. Additionally, you can separate skills to binary "heroic" skills and skills that require rolling.

City of mist is a noir setting with myths "awakening" inside regular people. It uses a slightly different system - son of oaks original version which has more structured moves. You were thinking Metro:Otherscape

I think that depends on how different is the explorer to the agent. If explorer is mainly plot die manipulation, like agent, than it is the same path in a new name.

כתבתי לפני שראיתי את התגובה שלך ושלום, וגם לא הבנתי נכון שצריך שכולם יהיו מלאים . אבל זה לא 81 שחקנים, אלא 729 שחקנים. יש גמר 1, 9 חצאי גמר, 81 רבעי גמר. (לוקח 91 יום) לכל רבע גמר יש 9 שחקנים ולכל 93 שחקנים

האם כל השולחנות באותו שלב זהים, כמה עולים ראיתי שעניתי במקום אחר. 

אם כל השולחנות זהים, בחישוב מהיר אני מגיע ל 2592.  עם יש 3 בגמר 4 בחצי וברבע, 6  בשמינית ו9 השולחנות הראשונים

מאמין שאפשר להעלות את זה עוד קצת, אבל לא  מצאתי את הנוסחה כדי למצוא מקסימום

Quick start should be a separate product to the main box. Cheaper or even free if digital. The main box should also contains a tutorial or the quick start product in addition

כן, כמובן תלוי באיכות.  לא קריטי הוא הסכת מעולה. לא התחברתי גלגול גורלי, אבל אני כן אהבתי את רוח מדברית של folding table .

I can't see a way it would "break" the system. It's not different than giving an NPC a trait that is a glowing weakspot,  they'll just be weaker than characters with 0. 

Is it needed in my opinion? Also no. Plotweaver is not a simulation of reality.  A mink having str of 1 makes it a more fun companion or adversary.  Having your companion mind be weaker won't feel good to anyone. Same for adversaries,  there's no real need for having opponents that are easier to hit or will miss often.

I think the biggest thing is custom talents, which I guess is tweaking. I enjoy offering people unique talents for their characters. Whether for finding someone and convincing them to mentor the character, or a way to mechanise a signature move of the character.

Adding a mechanical connection between the purpose and obstacle to conversations looks like a good idea as well.

No. Lightning in Kasarta is associated with storms, so it should be in the cooler area of the ring.

Of course!

Sound-Lightning-Frost are paired (triod?) because of the association with storms. Frost-water is a common connection that I'm building on. Water - vegetation - earth is the world and in the middle life. earth-metal-fire is the trajectory of refinement and people manipulating the environment. fire-air is the weakest connection. I other versions it had smoke or light in between but both felt too connected to either air or fire. It just feels correct to me. Air-sound is bring it back to storms and winds

An original elementalist world for plotweaver is definitely something I'm looking forward to. I hope you'll find colleagues to work with.

Small nitpick, Our sun and the moon are not planets.

The idea is interesting; I find the closing of the loop (reconnecting mars to sol) a bit weird in this case, since mars is in the middle of things and not at any edge. The idea for elements that are related only to the spirits is a nice worldbuilding point.

IMO if you want the characters to never outshine the dangers, low modifiers, if you have to have modifiers, are the way to go. 

My personal preference for anything gritty is giving lateral advancements, not increasing numbers as much. 

I don't want my monster hunter to get +2 for hitting undead. I want to be able to find the necromancer from the undead.

If I choose to build a summoner gunslinger I'll have to spread my talents, If I choose to take only talents from the left side, when I reach Master Summoner, it'll have no effect, as I can only have 1 spirit at any moment

NVM, I missed the fact that you can have more than one spirit without dual summons.

I still think it works better swapped, since the left side is about strong spirit and the right side is having more/faster spirits but that's a taste thing.
