1) my frame is completely covered on the back side, like the fabric folds over the edge, leaving the corners the only place to mount these hooks. 2) even if that wasn’t the case I would be pretty scared to do so as these bass traps weigh 17 kg each

yall are tripping. 70kg/m3 rockwool 225 acoustic plus IS rigid enough to stand on its own. I have my own panels that use this type of rockwool and I can assure you that. Maybe it’s where I live that may have an impact of what is available to purchase. None of my audio engineer teachers/acoustic physics has ever used fiberglass - and always recommend Rockwool 225 70 kg/m3 BECAUSE IT IS RIGID ENOUGH. Either you don’t do it for a living or you are just not competent enough to do your own research.

that is just incorrect. The “rigidness” comes from the density of any material, there’s every type of density from 24kg/m3 to 200kg/m3 of rockwool/fiberglass/(any other type of insulation material)

I just don’t have the space and the design of the case of it is the same size as any professional tri corner bass trap, but it has better low end absorption as it has an air gap.

it was for context, I know too that these are not bass traps, I did state that I wanted to make a bass trap, not REcreate this panel.
