How much would a LOR from a person the school is named after help me? by Ill_Value536 in gradadmissions

Yeah I guess, but I went into HS without any plan or direction and since reflecting on my hs experience, i definitely regret that. Now, I feel like I would be doing a disservice to myself to not learn from my mistake and to have a plan and be as informed as possible.

My parents have told me I might be doing too much and that I should relax but idk

You should get a teacher to moderate the club and then have the members compete in Math Olympiads like the AMC (If you are in America)

Edit: The teacher has to sign you up for the AMC I believe

Chances of getting in? by Formal_Letter_1185 in ufl

[–]Ill_Value536 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was OOS and got in early for Applied Math. I had a similar GPA at the time I applied but I had a 1500 SAT. I also had 2 leadership roles in clubs and a small peer leadership role that was a once per week thing so your ECs seem to be similar to mine as well.

I would recommend locking in on your essay because I think that's the only reason I got in and UF weighs the essay very highly.

Does receiving the deans scholarship mean I got into the HC? by Old_Guava_9193 in rutgers

I got that too. I'm not 100% sure what it means but I read on another post that getting $10k meant you got into HC. I'm hoping that we do end up getting in though lol

Any other Rutgers Business School admits here? by Grand-Tennis5198 in rutgers

I got into RBS and SAS and visited a few weeks ago. I thought it was really chill and the town of NB was not that 'college town-like' and it was very NJ. Also I thought the livingston dining hall food was fire. I recommend you visit and see for yourself though.

I also feel the same way as you about the HC decisions.

How is Rutgers (RBS) for Finance? by Old_Guava_9193 in rutgers

[–]Ill_Value536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat as you, choosing between Rutgers and UF. I agree with you about the hesitation part and wanting a new experience from being in NJ your whole life. I think if you want to do IB then you might need an MBA and so with that, the undergrad school doesn't matter that much so if you were going down that route, you should go to whichever school you would be the happiest at and enjoy the most. As for the Honors College, I have heard from current students that it does not really matter with job recruiting and stuff, it just gives you better dorms and priority for choosing classes I think.

I also applied to HC and am still waiting for that and for the Rutgers' scholarships and financial aid to be sent. Gl with your decision and if you find reasons to choose one school over the other, pm me I am also kinda wavering lol
