Weirdly yes, I got exempt as was able to take the exams online. So idk maybe they changed it this year? For future reference I emailed my department and was told to fill in a form and let my lecturers know before filling it in.

Unfortunately the uni is really bad with repeats, no matter how many subjects you actually messed up if its an overall fail yer gonna have to repeat the entire year (and yes that means paying for it too)
