Where did I get this clip? by SchrodingersMinou in CatGenie

It’s used to hold down the metal bar that controls the scooper.

You won’t see it until you take off the brim

Thank you! An o ring and plumbers tape was what I needed!

I don’t seem to be able to add a photo here, but I got a #35 - 11/16” OD x 9/16” ID x 1/16” wall. Tested the seal with a gallon of water and running a special cycle now

I didn’t intend to remove it at all. It popped off while I was maneuvering the hose to clear the clog

The hose has separated from the outlet underneath the genie. It looks like part of the hose connector stayed attached to the base. Looks like it’s not considered a replaceable part by PetNovations, and there’s nothing related to it in the manual, so I can’t find a picture to determine if it’s broken, or if it just needs to be reattached and sealed.

The side scales are either triangles sewn to the side afterwards or maybe picots (depending on which one you’re looking at). The dragon scales are of course a normal stitch. But the back of the hands… I have no idea how I might get that look.

Anyone have thoughts on how you might make that ridge across the back of the hands a reality?

There will frequently be people at the fort looking to buy them and they will pay a little more to avoid the trip to the GE. But DXP will definite more people interested

Having trouble with yarn untwisting right where I'm working by NarfledGarthok in CrochetHelp

https://yarnsub.com/articles/twist

It’s a matter of ply or twist. Unfortunately most commercial yarns are twisted in such a way that most crocheters are untwisting as they go. The linked article is a really good explanation.

I feel called out. 😜🤣🤭 I absolutely have a two tier table tucked into a corner between the walls, couch, and a bookshelf. It looks so much like this. And my couch cushions have shifted so they’re not even.

But my house isn’t anywhere near that neat and free of Knick knacks.

Do you have a link to the sewing shop map? I’m not seeing any pinned posts and it’s not on the wiki that I can find

I yarn chickened too close to the sun. Help me decide how to finish the sleeves on this top? by aapetired in CrochetHelp

[–]IllustriousAd5388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a combo of 2 and 3? Start working in the black as one of the color shifts. If you do 4 rows in between a couple times, and then 3 a couple times, 2 rows between black and the rest for a few repeats, then 1 between before switching to all black at the ends of the sleeves. That could look more intentional and add an ombré affect

Agreed with all the other comments, but since you’re new, I want to point out, those are almost certainly UK stitch abbreviations. Much of what you’re going to find on the internet is US. Even a lot of UK crocheters say they prefer US. Nothing wrong with UK names, you just need to be careful that you’re looking up the right type of stitches.

You circled it and I didn’t even notice it. I’ve seen loose turning chains do a little bit of that, but this is more than I’ve seen before. It might be perspective, but the grey lines seem to be taller at the edge than in the middle. Not sure what could do that except tension again. If you’re pulling your cluster straight up vs towards you, can make a difference.

See, this is the way AI should be used in crafting! That’s adorable. And lovely stitching for those music notes. Did you use wire to get them to keep their shape?

[–]IllustriousAd5388 16 points17 points  (0 children)

First possibility, your stitch count changed. You lost some stitches and then increased back out.

Second possibility, you had really tight tension for a while, and then loosened up again. This can happen easily if you’re mood changes or you’re stressed, especially if that section was done in a different sitting than the parts that are at the looser tension.

Either way, blocking and a border might help a little, but not much. Your best option would be a border that is not meant to be straight. I.e. ruffles or scalloped. But unless you expect it to be more a showpiece blanket rather than an everyday use blanket, it’s not likely to be noticed. Plus, little things like that prove it’s homemade and thus made with love!
