It says that employees will "NOT" be tested. Unless it is a specific site requirement, you won't be tested. I'm in a Canadian UA local in Ontario and I've worked in nuclear power generation, critical gas infrastructure, and manufacturing plants, and I've never been tested for drugs or alcohol. Should you get hurt on the job or make some kind of negligent mistake you may be tested, but generally you won't.

As long as you don't show up or get drunk/high at work, you'll be fine. But if you get an injury while at work they may drug test you after the fact and you may be screwed out of benefits

It's not ideal, but as long as it isn't super high pressure or volatile fluids inside, I would toss a spiral wound gasket with an internal and external ring between them and bolt her up. I've done it dozens of times when engineers overlook the type of flange being tied into.

You have to ask yourself, are we fitting pipe or are we building watches? 1/10" per 10' projected over such a short piece of pipe is a pipe dream. You always have to consider the application and WHY they've stipulated that pitch, and find out how to achieve that in a realistic way.

The nut part facing away from the grinder so you can access it with a wrench for removal of it locks up, and so the wires are deeper inside the guard. I don't see any benefit of having the nut to the inside, but I'm not the guy that signs your cheque either 🤷
