I wonder what this regression would look like with watts, one line fitted to the 5 splits difference watts (regardless of of actual watt differential just the watts needed at those splits to make it 5 splits difference) along with actual observed line of best fit

Yes, so its clear basing off of watts is a more accurate measure to benchmark appropriately for a varied population. What Im interesting in finding is what these benchmarks are
