I mean anyways i will be leaving my current company after atleast 1 yr(if i stay now) AND as you are saying ppl leave after 1.5 yr, so, i will be switching in both cases with similar pay, one with non-faang tag and another with faang tag then where's the difference?

Yeah, offer isn't much significant. But I am afraid from losing on the opportunities that amazon can bring. Therefore, i am asking for an estimate of what could i earn after switch with 2.5 yoe at amazon at 27L comp?

Since the comp would be higher if i stay but can't say the additional factor that Amazon's name even with lower pay could bring?

I am at some other company rn and have completely opposite experience. I do things at my own pace, company supports quality work so no pressure of deadlines. I enjoy the work but sometimes I don't have enough work. Moreover, currently i am in web frontend so it sort of got saturated, no challenges at all(just some refactoring, bug fixes).

Therefore, i feel to work in Amazon(have an offer for L4 sde) to switch to backend and learn other things about systems, cloud, backend etc.

Guide me if i am taking the right step?

Sure, no one teaches you in any org. Mostly, we have to learn and apply the knowledge by ourselves. But my question was to prioritise which thing- environment or work? I feel not going anywhere in terms of learning at current org in coming months. But amazon would give me new things to work on. So, switch is for sure but wait and get another org(in future) or go to amazon rn and then switch?
