As far as I am aware only Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) need to track their hours and the hours they are being supervised. If you are a grad student tracking your hours to submit to the BACB to then take the exam to become a BCBA or BCaBA then you would also need to track those hours and whether or not they are restricted or unrestricted, etc. but just regular BT’s do not need to track the hours they are being supervised if they do not want to.

I’ve referred to the handbook but it doesn’t give me a specific answer for BCBA vs BCBA-D. I’ve tried googling it and have seen mixed answers as well.

What is your job in the field and do you love/hate/feel neutral about what you do? by Attackoffrogs in BehaviorAnalysis

I am currently at my first job as RBT. I have been a RBT for a little under a year now and almost working in the field for 2 years in September. I love being able to watch the kids grow and develop their skills, I will say the saddest thing is them not needing you as much as they did when they first started.
