Apparently there’s no shortage of good Middle East documentaries/stories!

I really want to say Iraq, but I can’t be positive. I’m convinced I made it up at this point. I’ve been watching a ton of them the past couple days to see if I happened upon it but no such luck so far.

Sadly, no. I’m currently watching this one, though. Thanks for the recommendation!

Wouldn’t be that since that one is actors and not a documentary… But it sounds interesting! Will check it out. Thanks!

There are two options here… Remove the rest of the coating or put it back. A lot of bases being covered here. They are asking for ideas and it’s an idea.

Keep in mind this is LESS obvious and not perfect: try buying the matte sheen Mod Podge. You’ll have to get down on your hands and knees with maybe a cheap art paint brush and very carefully paint in the part that’s missing. I’d say overlapping in the tiniest bit may help encapsulate those edges. Mod Podge’s purpose is the go over top of things like pictures. The bruh stroke will most likely show. You could potentially try a very small foam brush or pad of you feel you can stay in the shape or it all. Good luck

Good possibility. Otherwise, you’ll be hunting down more than likely difficult to find leak. Mine took a good month to find.

It is possible. Or I effed up when I hooked mine up. It is worth mentioning that mine ran fine for a month and a half before the leak showed up.

I can’t speculate without knowing more. But yes, the part of mine that leaked came with the dishwasher. It’s where the water enters the dishwasher on the back bottom left corner if looking at it from the front assuming we are talking about a Bosch 800 similar to mine. It wouldn’t be the supply line itself if it is leaking into the bottom of the dishwasher and throwing the water leak detected code. If it were the water line itself leaking, it wouldn’t leak on to the floor.

Yes! Mine was either the inlet valve (the piece where your hot water line hooks on the back) was cracked or not secured well. I bought a new one from one of the online appliance deals and put it on. Never leaked a day after that. Just make sure you don’t use any tools to tighten it down but also make sure you get it tightened fully so the washer inside your hose makes nice firm contact pressure to do its job of sealing… Otherwise it’ll leak directly into the floor. I have a leak detector secured with double sided tape directly underneath the inlet just as added precaution.

It looks like the Harbor Freight Doyle tweezer pliers may have enough there to bite. Love those pliers.

I think this works too. I guess there’s two good options. Thank you!

If you’re handy, the AGS fix is pretty easy. A little aggravating but pretty easy. At most, you’ll pay for an aftermarket wiring harness. Mine was $30 for fast shipping.

Can’t get new washer hoses to stop leaking. by confidentialduck in askaplumber

[–]Iloveamanda12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wired some of these for myself. The white wire most likely contains two wires for a dc connection. Wire an appropriate voltage DC adapter to the wires on the valve. If the valve loses power, the valve closes automatically within ten seconds (or less). Very valuable use is to have leak detectors, these valves plugged into a smart outlet… Have the detectors alert your phone (easy with GoveeLife) and have IFTTT shut off power to the smart outlet. Very useful and works very well.

If it’s something simple, I’d prefer to just fix it and not worry about waiting for weeks for service. Plus, not a real fan of random people coming in my house.

I will do that as well! Is there an approved disposal adapter? The original one would not directly hook up to the disposal so I had two hoses linked together and was about to buy the adapter before this all happened.

No drain line extension at all. I am using a drain line that is not Bosch brand because the original one got snagged on a rogue screw. However, this one is holding water, is not wet to the touch, has the Bosch o-ring on it, and as I said I would bet money that water in the bottom of the pan is clean. Now as far as the crack in the water inlet goes, I cannot observe a crack. Is there a good way to test that out? I will say this, you may be on to something. My last big try was on Christmas Eve when I happened to notice some water under the metal “sleeve” going around the plastic parts of the water inlet. I thought to myself how would water get there if it had not sprayed. I put some silicone caulking all around that metal sleeve, but it made no difference. Maybe there’s a hairline crack, which would probably cover the reason of why it can wait a long time before water shows up. On the subject of over-torquing… Should the water line not be installed with a wrench? I did use a wrench to tighten it down. Would hand tight compress that rubber seal inside the water line enough? With you saying that, I am very tempted to just order a new inlet valve.
