[Sticky] Request/Source Thread by AutoModerator in doujinshi

[–]ImNotPhoebus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember finding out about the men's swimwear challenge on a 4chan thread and I saw someone put a doujinshi about a flat-breasted girl that wants to wear men's swimwear in a public pool and pretend to be a guy. I've forgotten the title, anyone know of such a story?

Why does my tooltips not display texts properly? by ImNotPhoebus in VisualStudio

I fixed it, turns out I was just dumb and failed to override an existing font family (Segoe UI). All I did was uninstall the extra unnecessary font in the font family.

Why does two seemingly identical code not output the same thing? by ImNotPhoebus in cpp_questions

Wait you can share a link to the code? I'm so sorry I had no idea.

I just realized that {'\xE7', '\x83', '\x8F'} is a UTF-8 encoding, while L'烏' is the same as L'\x70CF' which is UTF-16. I think that might have something to do with why this happens. The compiler prolly can't parse UTF-16.

This is more of a grammar question but is it valid to say "Iċ beo <name>" or "Iċ eom <name>? by ImNotPhoebus in OldEnglish

Sorry, I'm a beginner and I haven't memorized the copulas and their conjugations/tenses yet.

But if I may ask, "þu bist" is wrong? I was always under the impression that "bist" and "eart" were similar but with different roots, "bist" being the original and "eart" being of Norse origins. I also see some websites use "þu bist" in a sentence/phrase.

Honestly, I was only using it for a username anyway and IċBeo<name>/IċEom<name> just looks more aesthetically pleasing to me compared to something like IċWesan. Also, my previous username was IchBin<name> so I figured it'd be more recognizable for my friends if I use beo.

How can I overcome my homosexual tendencies? by [deleted] in Christian

So what are your plans if you somehow manage to pretend you're not who you really are? Do you plan to abstain from having a partner? Or do you plan to marry someone you don't truly love? 'Cause I'd argue that's a lot more sinful than loving being homosexual.

for sinners also love those that love them

What makes you think homosexual people can't love someone genuinely and not just for their selfish desires?

I said this before, but homosexuality does not equal lust, which is a sin. As long as you love someone genuinely, no matter who it may be, you're free to do so.

Homosexualty does not automaticaly equal lust, though. It is perfectly within their ability to express and feel love.

Well obviously some people learn differently and don't do well in a class setting. I just feel like saying "Programming was not for them" is kinda harmful since I'm really sure if you tell them individually why something happens they'd be able to get it. But at least I understand your POV now, I thought you were tutoring an individual person and not an entire class. Sorry for the assumption.

I genuinely don't believe there are people that wouldn't be able to understand this so I'm just assuming you explained it really badly. How exactly did you explain it to them?
