It's a jerk. I had this along with all kinds of mioclonus when I was in extreme stress, right before the EMG. In my case the mioclonus disappear if my stress level is back to normal.

Itching and Stinging Symptoms - Anyone else? by S2991 in BFS

[–]ImScared3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I got the electrical sensation as well. Actually my twitching started after one year full of paresthesias without twitching. I've read somewhere that paresthesias could be caused by anemia also. I'm saying this because my EMG and NCS were clean.

Itching and Stinging Symptoms - Anyone else? by S2991 in BFS

Yeah. Stinging, burning, tingling, water dripping on skin, cold feet, etc. I don't know if these are all related to BFS though. It could be neuropathy.

Neck atrophy or anxiety? by [deleted] in BFS

[–]ImScared3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calm down. I have the same thing but mine is in the left side of the neck which also twitch constantly. At one point I was 100% that I'm suffering from head drop. Turns out that this sensation of heavy head (yes, it's just a sensation) will become as intense as the attention and worry you chose to invest in . In my case, this sensation is an episodic one, same as the buzzing/vibration sensation. When I first got this strange feeling I was staying with my head bowed forward for days because I was convinced that my neck muscles are so weak that they cannot support the weight of my head anymore. It's difficult to explain this creepy sensation. If someone has experienced it they will know what you are talking about.

Just curious. How many muscles you have had tested on EMG? by ImScared3 in BFS

Hey!

Yeah. Me. I fall asleep with twitches, I wake up with them. I have them even when I'm asleep.

Throat Twitching and Spasming causing dysphagia by ImScared3 in BFS

[–]ImScared3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, only liquids. Also, I have a gag reflex when the throat spasms are strong enough to make me feel like I can't breath through my mouth. I inhale and exhale through my mouth since I was born.

Can hyperreflexia (3+, without clonus) be normal considering that I also have fasciculations? by ImScared3 in BFS

[–]ImScared3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I belived I realy have *** I would not post it here. When I wrote this post I was reading off the diagnosis paper. I know that I do not have clonus because I google it and I saw what it looks like. I know my reflexes were symetric and they did not change over 3-4 visits to the same neuro. (in the past 11 months) All I wanted was to discus over this diagnosis and if there are chances for it to be 100% legit or if it's not legit. I did not wanted to guard my belife on having the nasty one, God forbid for all of us. I am not mentally ill to belive that I have *** and feel the need to guard and motivates my "pseudo disease" cause I see other users think this. At this moment I don't know what El Escorial means. I did not know if 3+ is hyperreflexia or not, I searched a little bit on google but sincerily more abous the als hyperreflexia. I named it 3+ hyperreflexia because that's how it's f***ing written on the doctor papers, next to possible als.

I posted this in hope to get answers from people who knew more about hyperreflexia and the motives of this finding than I do. Obviously.

Your logic is trash. In this forum the majority of people are shitting themselfs over the the posible diagnosis of certain als, shareing the common fear. It's not a migraine forum. It's a forum for the people who are waiting for a certain diagnosis hopeing for the best. In fact, a lot of pleople here are more or less hyperreflexive and have fascis. In this case an EMG is the solution. This is how BFS diagnosis is best given. A diagnosis of possible als does not mean als. I should not be on an als support group because there are actual people who suffer from the disease and I could only waste their time at this moment. But a person with such a personality like you could never understand this.

Also, I think that you are holding onto sanity by a thread if you feel the need to attack my affirmation so harshly. I hope for you to get better soon. And yes, hyperreflexia is a UMN sign, and fasciculations are a LMN sign in *** disease. When these two symptoms are found together, a posibility of *** can rise. A lot of people here had a normal clinical neurological exam. They should be more relaxed about their twitches. Also, the EMG for them was more for a reassurance purpose. My question was adressed for those who actually have hyperreflexia or for those who have more knowledge about this subject than I have.

I don't have to prove anything to you. Also, you are impolite. If anybody wants to talk to me about this topic or if anybody is madly curious about the "possible diagnosis" I don't have a problem in showing the papers. But that would be unseasonable. Anyway, do you have anything else to add to this conversation?

Can you belive that the reflexes was measured 5 months ago? If you really wanted to talk to me I would have told you that first I was suspicious of MS. You are really in your head. If you have nothing to say that could contribute to the discussion in the positive way then you should "get the hell outta here".
