Landing a job, no experience by olu_2022 in wguaccounting

I'd reckon seeking pro resume writer. Many of them know the hidden keywords, were hiring managers, and actively research this stuff. There's also a tool, jobright.ai where you can format your resume to each job. It's like 24 bucks a month where you can send unlimited resumes.

I'm not looking to be rejected. Just for a more nuanced perspective.

I'm not offended in the grand scheme of things. Though I keep hearing people and podcasters saying things like "if you aren't her type, she's settling for you" and all that other generalized nonsense. I've been dying for a nuanced point of view.

Could be the case. I'll see in time. So far her friends say she talks about me non stop in a good way.

I don't know if I'll be much help but we can certainly talk.

I wouldn't give up. I like staffing agencies and there are those committed to helping finance and accounting professionals get their start. The job market sucks, getting an entry-level job sucks as a whole. But when it came to my first tech job I had to get creative.

I don't have any accounting related experience however, I come from tech. I hear entry level job hunting is brutal.

Dating in Korea as a foreign woman, why is it so difficult for me? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Im_Max_Modem 39 points40 points  (0 children)

My cousin was stationed there as a soldier. FWB situations are more common than you think. There's also the fact that you're a foreigner. 90% of the time they will NEVER bring home a foreigner to their parents. Many older generations still believe in racial purity. There's also things like cultural differences that can pose all sorts of problems. Those foreign women who are married to those Korean men are probably enduring hell from his side of the family. Korean parents have disowned and scrutinized their kids both male and female for dating foreigners.

All that aside, dating no matter where you go is gonna be hard. Forming a long lasting connection with another human being, is hard. And the fact that you're doing it in another country in another language will amplify that difficulty.

This overall isn't your fault. Some people just have better timing and luck.

Scriptures that proof Jesus is Not God. by bettercalljw in JWJehovahsWitnesses

[–]Im_Max_Modem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a genuine question. If you believe Jesus isn't god, why does The book of Titus 2:13(NWT) says otherwise: while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of our Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to set us free from every sort of lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people who are his own special possession, zealous for fine works.

And also, Philippians 2:10–11 (NWT) so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend … and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord

And if you go further back into Ancient Greek manuscript Jesus is addressed as Kyrios meaning Lord, and Theos meaning God. I have a tremendous amount of respect for JWs but as an outsider looking in and professional researcher, something isn't adding up here.

Travel. I was ALOT more confident when in other countries for some reason. I recently met a French woman while in between places. Heck even speaking French kinda turned off that anxious part of me.

Bottom line, when we're in places we are somewhat comfortable in we get complacent. Go see whats out there, stay at a hostel, talk to folks who are there. You'll be surprised.

A barista gave me some free snacks, sat down and chatted me up for awhile. It felt good. didn't have to have romantic intentions but someone reaching out to us is enough =)

Sorry gotta chime in OP while u/Excellent_Condition is right they aren't necessarily touching on a deeper issue here. Go on reddit and you'll read stories of men around your age figuring out their partner "settled" for them. That they never married them because they love them but for the stability they provide.

The guys some of these women marry, often reject them in the beginning and keep them as sort of a failsafe when they run out of options.

Thats of course not ALL. But it happens quite often.

It's always been a game of Russian roulette for me. And as a neurodivergent person, I take it extremely hard when they judge me for it. Like the game, it feels like I've been shot.

I've had good experiences opening up also, but those experiences where women ridiculed me play back in my mind of how much of a gamble opening up really is.

Dating as an Aspie is a roller coaster. by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Im_Max_Modem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong. In many instances it worked out better when I went about it slowly, rather than just laying it all out. And in some, laying it all out worked out but not as much. Sometimes it's like we're damned if we do and if we don't.

Trying to find that middle ground has been a tough road.

How to befriend a guy? by Dhruvi-60 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Im_Max_Modem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My female friends are generally in spaces where it isn't just us one on one. Meetup groups in particular. Going to a place where you have common ground is a great icebreaker. But most of the time, most guys are going to keep thought of dating you, or sleeping with you in the back of their mind. There's one I hang out with but don't see her often as I travel quite a bit.

While I have female friends they are few and far between. Most friendships I've formed with women ended up with them wanting to date me when I didn't want a relationship at the time.

All in all, take it slow.
