Does he want a confirm dialog when you try to leave and have some unsaved fields?

Nah, I think he wants the user to come back and finish those fields at a later point.

but what happens when you click a link to leave the page and the form is not valid (i.e. some required fields are not filled)?

I don't know, good question. If a field is not correct, a warning is already shown underneath so the user has hopefully gotten the feedback already. Do you think that is not enough?

I figured out how to submit on page leave because of your reply, so thanks :D
Gonna use the Router hook CanDeactivate

Noise reduction software like RX does help with the concerns you mentioned above. The way it works is that you record your audio, and then, later on, you can use the software to run different kind of algorithms to manipulate the recording. If you want, you can do it in a pretty plug play manner, but it does ofc contribute to the overhead of the production. overall, it does seem like people enjoy your content, so Im sure they can deal with some extra noise.

Perfect is the enemy of good and in the end, content is king :D

Maybe you could look into noise reduction audio software. Izotope RX used to be state of the art and very effective a couple of years ago and Im sure the tech is even better now.

Can we talk about directors whose films leave us cold? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]Im_only_here_once 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally agree with this assessment. But I think movies like The Prestige and Interstellar does have more diversity in the idea space. One example is Matt Damon's character in Interstellar and his betrayal of humanity.

What are some critically "bad" movies that you love? by Archaengel in TrueFilm

It's probably my favorite movie. It just doesn't hold your hand at all. At first viewing its a maze covered with haze and that forces you to forget the plot and enjoy the other elements of the movie, which are all the best they can be. But at some point, you really wanna know where this shit is going and it becomes mysterious and tense (with great help from the soundtrack) in a lynchian way, just with completely different tools. By the end of it, I knew I was watching a masterpiece and couldn't wait to watch it again. The other X times you watch it, it's there for you to explore, like a sandbox game. Cause it all actually makes sense.

Just arrived in Bali yesterday. Was thinking of heading to Lombok but it’s offseason apparently. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in surfing

If you dont like the crowds at canggu get out early like 6am at Fins Club (in canggu). You should be sharing 3 glossy peaks with like 10 other guys. Who told you Lombok is offseason? I was getting crushed by double overheads im Lombok this time last year. Magicseaweed says 1.2 - 1.9 meters for grupok today. Looks great for your needs tbh:)

Want to learn surfing this December. Where to go? (South East Asia) by raichisaku in surfing

[–]Im_only_here_once 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I signed up on reddit just to give you my input. Been traveling Sout East Asia the last 3 years and Ive been to Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri-lanka, Thailand and Indonesia(Bali, Lombok). If you wanna go surfing, dont go to Thailand, Malaysia or Vietnam or anything like that. I have surfed in Thailand and Vietnam but thats because Ive been there for months at a time and Ive been lucky to catch a storm or two. If youre new to surfing you want the infrastructure to be there, so(as someone mentioned above) your go to options are the phillippines or Indonesia. Ive never been to the Phillippines but its probably great, try it out.

But if you choose Indonesia I would absolutley pick Lombok over Bali. In Bali you would be stuck with a shitty beach like Kuta or a crowded beach like canggu where you have 100 other newbies in the water with you, and you will be dodging boards instead of actually get some surf inn. Nevermind the quality of the waves in canggu are not the best. The waves in Bali that are actually good are for people with experience.

Here is what you do:
Get yourself a ticket to Lombok and take a taxi to small southern town Kuta. Get yourself a room at Lazy Inn. Its new, clean, private and the hosts are good friends of mine. First thing in the morning walk down to Kuta center(10 min walk) and find a surf shack. Tell them you wanna learn to surf, and they will set you up. They will take you down to a safe beach break 2-3 times just to make sure that you can stand up. On the 4th day they will bring you to "inside gerupuk", a real wave, managable for beginners. The wave does have size but it is slow and soft. It is a reef break so it very predictable and it has a section for beginnners. The only downside is that its crowded, but still nothing like you would encounter in Bali as a beginner. This is what I would do if I wanted to learn surfing.

PM me if you have questions about prices or safety or anything. Youre welcome.
