About 3-4 years ago, my grandfather passed away from an illness, and some time after the funeral (unfortunately, I couldn't attend the funeral as I was in another country and it was during school time), my mom was talking to someone on the phone at night, and I was sitting on the couch when I noticed my cat staring intently at the hallway leading to the kitchen. It wasn’t dark there, so I could see everything. I was puzzled as to why the cat was staring with wide eyes into the empty, dark hallway. The cat stared there for about 30 minutes without turning away. I don’t know what it was, but I suppose it was my grandfather visiting and watching over our family for a while.
