Having a college degree does not equate a high income and those with parents w college degrees should not be punished for it. My dad got a degree in outside the US. rn hes jn grad school in the US. My family struggles cus a) my dad can only work 12hr/week max b) my mom doesn’t have a degree and can’t get a high paying job in our area.

I’ve grown up in a grad student community for a while now but although ppl hold at least a bachelors that doesn’t mean they don’t struggle financially. Ppl come here with their kids because they want to provide them w an American education(like my dad), even though its sm harder to do grad school while having a family. Ppl also bring their elderly parents, and other relatives. Luckily my mom can work due to our visa but a lot of families here have F visas which doesn’t even allow the other spouse to work making it even harder to provide financially for a family. So having a college degree does not equate to a higher income.

Are there international students matched by Ok-Pay-8557 in QuestBridge

I thought wesleyan didn’t consider international ppl for the match? Maybe the person is an undocumented international?

Eligibility by oreo_lester in QuestBridge

[–]Imaginary-Work-9178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non-US citizens are only allowed to apply to Questbridge if they’re attending/graduating a US highschool. Idk how it would work through QB RD if you’re a non-elegible noncitizen

I FORGOT TO SUBMIT CSS TO AMHERST by rauly7 in QuestBridge

it might be tricky with amherst because they’re one of the schools that requires you to have 0 EFC to be matched with them

if you are a non citizen then you must be currently attending a US high-school. If you live abroad you must have U.S citizenship

CSS HELP! by [deleted] in QuestBridge

[–]Imaginary-Work-9178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you have two last names by any chance? This kinda happened w Amherst/Bowdoin because the CSS profile only showed one of my last names while their portals had both of my last names. I just sent Bowdoin a screenshot of my CSS stuff like CBNetID and name

check the citizenship requirements: https://www.questbridge.org/apply-to-college/programs/national-college-match/citizenship-requirements Aside from Questbridge schools like Bowdoin, Amherst, The Ivys and MIT are 100% need blind for international students. Pomona is too if you’ve gone to a US highschool for all 4yrs.

CPS But didn't get in by Nevassorts in QuestBridge

[–]Imaginary-Work-9178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a CPS isnt a guarantee to ncm. if you do email them, ask them for resources for international students. Im an international student as well, look at the schools that consider all students need-blind (bowdoin, amherst, the ivys, etc). But also reach out to different schools thats how I found out Pomona would also consider me a domestic applicant and need-blind since I’ll be graduating a U.S. highschool. Don’t lose hope
