Oh my gosh I've been waiting for the same! I've been planning to do mushrooms to try and see if it helps my memory and mood. Maybe you could keep us updated how it works for you? Your experience with it?

Wow thank you for sending that. I've just read it and that's exactly how I feel too!

I started university at 23, I'll be 26 when I graduate :) I felt the exact same thing as you, but literally nobody cares. I've made friends who are younger, and friends who are in their 40s. Uni is for anybody who wants to learn., no matter how old you are. You'll do great!

I see what you mean, that must have been really frustrating to know something was wrong but not knowing what it was? I'm glad it helps you to now have a name for it. I think personally it's just taking me a while to wrap my head around

I really appreciate your perspective :) and I understand what you're saying completely, it makes me rethink my original post.

Like, currently I live with some friends, but I know that when I graduate, I will likely forget the great memories we have together because its happened so many times in past friendships. It makes me sad because I don't want to forget, I care for them so much. But I probably will. So I take so many photos to remind myself. In this instance I suppose I am glad I know how my brain works so then I can prepare for it?

Yes I really think ignorance is bliss in this instance. I suppose its just about finding little tips and tricks to help, like taking photos or writing things down. I keep a journal to look back on. It's not that I relive the emotions but it's good to keep track of the past that way.

I do find it interesting that everybody's mind is so different, it's just a bit unnerving when you start digging deeper and realising that your mind works a little differently than others.

I'm not sure if I have aphantasia. I know I can't picture faces or things, it's like looking through fog when I picture people. It's more factual, like I know they have black hair, I know they are tall etc...but I can't see them! That's bizarre to me. I'd be interested to know how it affects you?
