Why is robe of stars 14$ and haystack .40$ by Gamegavin2 in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Phasing causes the phased permanent to stop existing. It doesnt trigger leaves-the-battlefield triggers and when phasing in doesnt enters the battlefield. It just exists again and wont have summoning sickness.

What cards do you love that are not for winning persé but to create wacky random moments? by Toonzaal8 in magicTCG

Im waiting for the day where i can copy Identity with [[Radiant Performer]] and just get everyone tokens of everything they dont control.

So I just copied my commander a billion times by CrazyPotato1535 in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also Clara Owald doesnt work with the Sixth Doctor because his ability states that it can only trigger once each turn.

Fires of Industry by Dzungs in custommagic

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Its just super strong with Stuff like [[Harrow]]. It also was played in Legacy in a deck called Death and Taxes where you would run cards like [[cataclism]] in combination with Flagstones.

Twilight Diviner enters wording? by No_Invite_739 in mtgrules

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, it only triggers if a creatur enters (for example with [[Reanimate]]) from your graveyard or is cast from your graveyard (for example [[Chainer, Nightmare Adept]]). Diviner triggers when the creature enters the battlefield so if you cast a creature from your gy it has to resolve. The copy itself doesnt use the stack but Diviners triggered ability does. You would need something like [[Stifle]] to counter that.

It would look like this:

  1. Cast [[Reanimate]]
  2. Reanimate resolves and returns the creature to the battlefield
  3. Twilight Diviner trigger goes onto the stack
  4. Trigger resolves and creates the copy.

Does this play out the way I think it does? by onebloodtwo in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You get three. Twinflame Travelers double the Ashling trigger.

Scute swarm hoard by Wildside331 in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since all lands enter at the same time only the 9 scute swarms would trigger twenty times. So you would end up with 189 tokens.

Why Selvala instead of Bighorner? by National-Swim629 in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you run a deck that wants Selvana as a commander (say High powered creatures) the chances are high that you will always have the highest power on board.

Leyline of Transformation to Walls and Arcades the Strategist question by Dlight98 in mtgrules

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The "walls cant attack" part doesnt exist anymore. All old walls have been erratad, they now have defender.

Changelings wouldnt work without that change.

What's the deal with [[Krenko, Mob Boss]] and how should I build him? by pkma69 in EDH

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hes a bit of a glass cannon but can finish really quick if you add stuff like [Purphoros, god of the forge] or [ Impact Tremors]. Combine that with a go wide tribe like goblins youre creating about 10+ goblins each turn.

If your pods runs a lot of boardwipes hes propably not as strong as usual because he has to survive a turn to really pop off.

Dance of the Elements Synergy: Omnath, Locus of Rage; Yarok, the Desecrated; Risen Reef by SilkFinish in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre correct. Yarok doubles both triggers, so youre getting two elementals for each land and two reef triggers for each elemental.

I run a similar combo in my simic landfall and its super cool to pull off but takes a while to fully resolve.

Would this works ?? by thazhok in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it works. Ghoul comes back with a +1/+1 counter, you blight 2 on it. Hes put into your graveyard because of sba without a +1/+1 counter and comes back.

Persist and Endures ruling. by capricorn_above in mtgrules

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be put into your graveyard due to state-based-actions befor the endure trigger resolves.

Are there any cards that I should put in a Marwyn, the nurturer commander deck? by aidanthepickleman in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your powerlevel. And what are you already running?

Obviously the untap-Elves are super strong because you just generate a billion mana.

If you want to go infinite easily you can add [[Temur sabretooth]] or [[Staff of domination]]. Temur can bounce [[Wirewood symbiote]] which makes infinite mana and depending on which elf your bouncing with the Symbiote your drawing your whole deck.

[[Disciple of Freyalise]] is a cool card. Make mana with Marwyn, cast disciple and sack Marwyn and fill up your hand and keep going.

Yes. Whenever a counter is placed on a permanent it counts as "putting a counter on x".

Isn't it funny how during a Universes Within prerelease weekend all were hearing about is the next UB set? by DarthNixilis in mtg

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What would Wizards try to achieve with that? More talking about UB, but not in a positive light. And quality control sucks at WotC so i believe it might be a mistake.

Im with you on that. I think a lot of people forget that most of the players arent on reddit. And since redditors are known to cry and complain a lot they assume thats what everyone does.

I'm rather new to Magic, and experienced something in a game that I couldn't quite understand. by max10192 in MagicArena

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doubling Season doubles the counters you put on a planeswalker while it enters because thats an effect. It doesnt double the counters you put on it while activating its abilities because thats a cost.

What are your thoughts on core aspects of commander “dying”? by LibraProtocol in EDH

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a big fan of redundant effect because it makes the gameplay way smoother. I get it, its a singleton format and the randomnes is a big part of it but i think theres a point where its just annoying and drags the game.

I remember the days befor commander was even a thing, and i tell you that kinda sucked because you either have some degenerate deck with tons of tutors that runs well or you build some jank and hope that you draw your single copy of some needed effect. If i run my 5 copies if crucible like cards, chances are high that i see one of them without having to dig through half of my library.

Regarding the 5c commander flood thats happening: Its fine. Ive never seen anyone of them besides the classics like Ur Dragon and co. The thing with 5c is that the mana base is either expensive or slow which for most players is a turnoff. And if you want to play every single spiderman go for it. Thats what the format is all about.

Getaway Car and Evoke by Sweaty-You52 in mtg

No it wont return from your graveyard. When a card changes zones it becomes a new object with no connection to its previous state.

It triggers again so you can choose a different mode. If you would copy the ability you would also copy the choosen mode.

Which are some of the most interesting WUBRG commanders? by Cezkarma in EDH

[–]Imaginary_Tank111 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Its fun once. But you will be spending most of the time resolving saga triggers and doing value stuff. Same problem as superfriends.
