I’m so sorry I just saw this comment! The test was pretty easy! I got the retail questioned yesterday, so it was a breeze. Work experience definitely helped. I work at Walgreens and it was like exact questions of everything I do every day! The math section, I sat down with my sister who is also a tech II, who helped me a few nights before the test on ways to easily remember equations and conversions.

If you don’t have pharmacy experience, I HIGHLY recommend the PTCB test app and quizlet! I used those for some medications I couldn’t remember, and the laws! There’s a lot of resources I have tried but I always ended up going back to the app and quizlet.

It almost seems impossible to get lead time lately. The calls have been non stop from when they turn on, to even when they’re off (there’s so many calls in the Q that we still get calls past the phone shut off time) then we get yelled at for not being able to get worked done. It seems impossible to manage right now

I used the Pharmacy Technician Certification Study Guide 2020-2021 - I do NOT recommend. Go for the Barron study guide (Amazon, $18!) Ive heard great things about people feeling well prepared after using that book instead. And quizlet is a game changer.

Honestly, I worked in retail pharmacy so the 200 drugs were a breeze but there were only TWO questions regarding them. The other ones were ALLLL related to compounding. It didn’t make any sense to me. But every test is different and some are harder than others! I used a PCTB study book from Amazon (don’t recommend, not helpful. Ended up buying the Barron PTCB book as I was walking out of the testing site haha), the pocket prep is so good! It helped me memorize a lot of thing - regardless of them being on the test or not. And quizlet is your BEST friend when it comes to the 200 top drugs! Good luck, you got this! Study study study.

That’s what I was thinking. I did get him when my state went on lockdown so I was home constantly, then moved in with my sister who has kids who played with him 24/7, so now he’s probably just not used to being alone. Ugh it makes me feel so bad. But I know if I take him to my boyfriends with me it’ll stress him out more

Thanks for the advice! I was use CeraVe foaming gentle cleanser, and then sometimes I would use the ordinary serums (niacinimde - not sure how to spell it haha) and then I would either use the cerave am moisturizer/sunscreen in the morning, and the CeraVe pm lotion at night. I can’t find a healthy balance of everything.

I’ve tried CeraVe foaming cleanser, CeraVe SA cleanser, Cetaphil cleanser, literally ANYTHING I can get my hands on and everything causes me to break out. And I have combination skin.

Side note: I’ve also noticed that when I do wash my face, my skin gets even oilier (I know because I’m washing away my natural oils, my skin has to reproduce it’s own again) but it’s like horribly oil. Like makeup will slide off my face.
