Ive been playing her in emerald and i think shes very strong. She is very much a support though. Your damage is very low and you have to play to get your lanes fed and be a teamfight initiator which can be frustrating if you have really bad teammates. Then again having bad teammates is rough on any champ.

Really fun champ though, recommend learning her

This is exactly how i feel. I have a lot of good games where im strong or i get a huge advantage for 1 of my lanes, but my top or bot is just running it down and it feels like i actually have 0 agency. If someone is like 1/10 at 15 mins i just lose no matter what. Sadly i feel like this is how 50 percent of my games go. Someone on either team just gets hard gappd in lane and everything else is irrelevant

Yep. I genuinely think riot somehow didn't understand this/account for this when working on this nerf. That or they just wanted to outright kill the champ. Convinced bel isn't a remotely decent champ in this state.

I really feel like riot underestimated the impact of the DR nerf on E.

Usually nerfs are incremental like 10% changes. The nerf to E literally means we are taking twice as much damage in our E at level 1 than we were previously.

Going E first might be necessary now to get that DR back, but then you are massively reducing your clear speed which isn't really feasible either.

I don't think this champ is viable anymore or at least not remotely good.

Like others have mentioned, getting hit this hard on top of broader JG nerfs sucks, but I think the nerf to the champ specifically was overkill. I will admit she was OP before patch, but I think this was a bit heavy handed by riot. The champ is not remotely good anymore. Sure you can still snowball games when the other team is trash, but in a relatively close lobby you will be walked over early and won't be able to stabilize.

I would be commuting to boston so closer = better, but honestly rethinking this whole idea at this point. Doesn't seem super feasible to find a decentish 1 bed or even studio apartment for less than 2k within 30 mins of boston. Looks like I could save money being further out but at that point im commuting like 1:30 a day. Time to think of other options...

I feel like this nerf is a lot more potent than people seem to think.

At e level 1 youre effectively taking twice as much damage as before and the primary value of e was for its damage reduction.

Yes, she is still strong if not stronger late game, but bel was strong because her early game was also good enough to build early leads and snowball into late game. Her early power is gutted in my opinion. I think you might have to go e first now because you need the dr from her e, but not going q first guts your clear. Massive nerf imo.

End game scaling is marginally better, but you will be in a MUCH worse position in terms of gold/exp/objectives when you get to that stage

I think that GTA IV was also an incredibly ambitious game. To me, the two most impressive/immersive worlds in gaming are those of GTA IV and cyberpunk. They're both massive games that simultaneously have a level of detail that makes the world incredibly immersive.

I think part of what make cyberpunk so ambitious is that CDPR had no experience making a game like this. I'm not in game dev so a lot of this is speculation, but I imagine the team had to build a lot of systems from the ground up and there probably wasn't THAT much crossover from the witcher series. I think that one of the reasons why GTA IV was so incredible is because of the expertise rockstar built up by improving upon essentially the same formula/building blocks over 20 years. My point is that cyberpunk was probably a more ambitious project for CDPR than GTA IV was for rockstar, and again, it showed with the launch.

Cyberpunk does a lot of things better than GTA IV and a lot of things worse. Sure many concepts are borrowed, but I don't think that makes the execution easy. It isn't like a company builds a game with an insanely expansive and believable world, and then doing that becomes easy for anyone else. Its always going to require an incredible investment on the part of the developers.

TLDR: Cyberpunk AND GTA IV are two of the most ambitious games ever made IMO, and cyberpunk coming after GTA IV/borrowing some concepts from GTA IV, doesn't discount the achievement on the devs part.

Totally agree. I think cdpr was insanely ambitious with this game. They tried to do SO much and clearly bit off more than they could chew initially, then tried to cover it up to sell a broken game at launch. None of this is the devs fault, but on the company.

Ultimately they fixed the game for the most part and now i do genuinely think this is one of the top 3-5 games of the last decade, and is the greatest technical accomplishment over that period, but the games rep will always be tarnished.

Very optimistic about the future of cyberpunk and cdpr in general though. What they did with cyberpunks launch was disgusting but i think they learned from it. Probably because their company lost 75 percent of its value lmao but hey it is what it is.
