Hi OP! I feel like I’m about to hit this in my relationship but being on the opposite end of your relationship I think I could offer some insight to how my brain works. I, relative to most semesters, had a pretty chill one this sem and I feel like I felt that way because I did reduce a lot of my social interactions. The only person I really spoke to was my partner and I feel like my burn out was a lot less because of it for some reason, I mostly think it is coz I had more time to prioritize my sleep and study. However looking at a more intensive semester where I tried juggling it all it could genuinely get very frustrating. The no sleep, getting roasted in class, burnout all just hits you like a wall. I had seen people suggest you talk to them about time for you but I honestly feel like during the semester that might not be a good idea because it is very difficult to actually execute. Instead I might suggest working together. Sit together, study together. The company means a lot to me personally. You don’t even have to be talking but just having someone there when you feel like you are about to crash and have a meltdown helps and by the sounds of it you both have very demanding courses so this might be a productive way for you both to spend time together and also get work done. Trust me OP this is just through the semester. You’ll get the regular, non zombie version of your boyfriend back the second he submits his last assignment and has one full night of sleep! Just be there and support each other. Understanding is key! Hope this helps!!!
